Question about Magellan eXplorist 500 GPS Receiver
You've got me about halfway there. I followed your directions and it has worked up to a point. When I'm in the usb file transfer mode and click on the Background Maps folder, there's nothing there. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to reload a map from another location? I just bought this unit last week. When I turned it on for the first time, everything worked so I set up preferences. I turned it off, then later when I turned it on again I got that error message. I guess what I'm trying to get at is I know very little about this unit and would appreciate any additional help you can give me!
