How to record from my Sanyo DTV to my Sony Recorder?

Body: I want the Easy Setup Menu from my Sony DVD/VIDEO recorder to show up on the screen of my Sanyo DTV. The instructions from Sony say, "Switch the input selector on your TV so that the recorder appears on the TV screen." There is nothing on the Sanyo remote that says, "Input Selector." What do I do?

First have the video recorder connected to the tv correctly, either coax out, red.white, yellow out, componant out or hdmi.[ see on back of the unit & the tv which connection you used.input selector is also known as video/source/line in or aux, sometimes even game. if there no such button on your remote, scroll down from channel 2 and you should be in some aux input.have the dvd playing, then you should see the video when you get to the right input.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Have just retuned digital terrestrial receiver Matsui DTR -2 for our area, how do I now record tv programmes with my Bush VCR925NSILXI? On analogue TV the recording channel was Channel 9

Recording, amazingly, has nothing to do with your TV, it only monitors the playback or recording input of your VCR or DVD recorder - the Channel 9 you mention.
They have their own tuners, indeed DVD recorders have Freeview (or DTV) tuners so no need for a separate box at all - given that your TV has a DTV tuner too and if a recent flat screen type it will.
If you can afford it, this is a good time to drop VHS and get a DVD recorder. You'll find plenty on Amazon Electronics for a start.
Your Bush VCR will be redundant the moment the analogue service goes off, they haven't made a VHS VCR with a DTV tuner.
Depending on your area this is a few months off, even for the last area to change over anyway, here in London there's just shy of nine months left.

Hello I have just got a Sony PFM 42VIE television. How do I connect it via cables to be able to pick up tv broadcasts vis a panasonic dvd recorder with built in freeview. Thankyou.

Hi, The simplest way to connect the dvd recorder to television will be via the coaxial connections(the cables with the screw on ends)- ( on dvd recorder one will say in from ant./cable the other will say out to tv ) this should enable you to change your tv's channel with your dvd recorder which is what you're after I assume. The best connection will be with the dvd recorders HDMI output or component video out, keep in mind they may only work for dvd viewing and not with tv channels, also hdmi ouput has audio built in-with component video you will need to connect dvds L/R stereo output to the audio input for component video ( these connectors are marked red, green and blue.) the stereo input will be red and white. Thanks and I hope this was helpful, good luck Prodzilla

Sound Noise Using HDMI Cable

The first solution was to use the remote controls on the recorders and shuttle from 480p to 720p to 1080i.

The other solution was to run left and right audio cables from the output of the DVD recorder to the audio inputs of the tv. Then, go into the setup menu of the recorder and tell it not to output sound using the HDMI cable.

The first solution has to be done each time the machines are turned on for the first times of a day.

The second solution fixes the problem once and for all....
