Format the player. If the message appears again, format it again.
If problems continue, upgrade the firmware for this product.

Can not sync my ipod to my itunes keeps saying unknown error 1437.. dont know what to do next

Hi smdente... Anyone having problems with the error "1437" I have been searching the internet high and low and have done so much and I believe I have finally found a way to fix it. "1437" is the error where your ipod just wont register as an ipod and when it finally does it will begin to restore but corrupt halfway through saying error 1437.

First of all I got this code which you save in Notebook as appleipod.bat

regsvr32 /s softpub.dll
regsvr32 /s wintrust.dll
regsvr32 /s dssenh.dll
regsvr32 /s rsaenh.dll
regsvr32 /s gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 /s sccbase.dll
regsvr32 /s slbcsp.dll
regsvr32 /s mssip32.dll
regsvr32 /s cryptdlg.dll
regsvr32 /s initpki.dll

You save as that to your desktop exit out of it then double click on it. A black screen will come up, load, then disappears.

Reset your unplugged ipod by pressing the center and menu button, once the apple logo appears press the center and play/pause button until it does into disk mode. Once in disk mode plug it into your computer and wait for itunes to register it and restore! KABOOM! fixed.. well, at least for now. I dont know if this was just by chance but this last step with the resetting your ipod didnt work the first time for me so I continued my google quest and on another website there was one more step. To have you ipod off and fiddle with the "hold" button the the top left of the ipod while off and then start the steps. It could have just been by chance but it worked so do try. Its stuck in disk mode screen displays a check mark that says ok to disconnect player wont turn off or go to menu screen

Try resetting it. Hold down the middle and menu buttons at the same time and it should reset itself. Then it should go to the main menu. Good Luck!

Boot error

There should be a little tiny hole on the back of the player.
Use a tooth pic and hold it down for about 15 seconds if that dont work.
You will need a firmware update.
Go to RCA website download the firmware for your player.
then plug in the player to usb device of your pc.
Install the newly downloaded firmware.

NEED HELP RIGHT AWAY

You should reformat your disk so that the error goes away, in the menu please find the format the disk, or connect the stuff to the computer then format it using the computer. (all files will be deleted during formatting)

If this not work you can replace the disk of your stuff.

My m:robe wont work at all!

If the screen doesnt even light up then you pretty much stuffed.

If battery isnt charging then the battery's life is gone. you cant really get another battery all you can do is remove it to prevent damage and use it plugged in.

Open the case by unscrewing the four screws (2on bottom and 2 on side)

move the HDD (hard disk) and take out battery and unplug

replace HDD and lid.
