Question about Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 Tablet PC

Loose ac power port

The ac plugin on the tablet seems to be a little loose, and has trouble maintaining a power connection from the ac adapter plug. I think the power port will have to be replaced or repaired. any ideas on how this can be done?
would a docking station provide power through the large connection on the bottom of the tablet?

Same problem here.  When I took it to best buy to have it looked at they came up with a $600+ price to fix it.  Said the ac power port is connected to the motherboard.  We're going a different route for now.  Removing the hard drive and buying an external box so that we can read the data on it.  I have to say though, I've had it for multiple years and never had a single complaint until now.

The same thing happened to my port. They tried to weld it but it didn't work. The best solution is a new motherboard, but that won't keep it from happening again. The design is rather flawed. A docking station will work, but it's about as expensive as a motherboard (both around $200.00.) I think the cheapest bet is to make the drive external, like the other person said.

This was my daughter's Christmas present - holding down the power button just makes the screen quick flash white after about 8 seconds, but that's it...this has happened before and I pushed the reset button on the back and that worked before, but now nothing works, it won't turn on, won't do anything...charger fits in port very loosely, could that be it? where can I get a replacement charger? Please help!!

A very common laptop problem, but not always easy to rectify. Usually, the smallish receiver portion is fastened onto the mobo which means a total or near-total disassembly of the laptop. The part is rather inexpensive, but the labor to change it is not.

Is no chargin

Hi,

Does the tablet power on when plugged in?
Have you tried a different power outlet, or a different power adapter?
Does the connector on the tablet seem loose or will the tablet charge if you hold the charging cable firmly to the charging socket?

Depending on your answers, it could be a bad charging port on the device, or a bad power adapter/cable, or a problem with electrical outlets. The remaining option would be a battery problem.

Have to push power adapter hard for tablet to charge

The power port is damaged - most likely the solder joints are loose or broken. You need to find a store where someone can open the case, order the new part for the tablet and then solder the new power port to the board.

Then it will be as good as new.

I have replaced power ports on laptops, phones and tablets.

Can I charge my Novos 7inch tablet through a usb cable attached to my computer there seems to be a problem charging through normal port

There are only so many milliamperes available to the whole USB bus on any computer. Having too many devices connected will cause not enough power to charge your tablet.
Try a wall adapter.

The charge dock on tablet broke so we can not charge tablet can it be fixed? We just got it this October.

Juello. Did some research on your tablet at Amazon, (http://amzn.to/1xWx6S5) and see that they also have an AC charger (AC charger adapter with a 3.5mm power jack and delivering 5VDC 2A). Available for $5: iRulu Black AC Home Wall Adapter Cable Charger for Tablet PC 5V 2000mAh or a there's a nice replacement KB and cover: iRulu New Portable 10 1 10 5 Android Tablet USB Keyboard Case Black . I would guess the connector snapped off inside the tablet, so you will have to remove it with some tweezers. If the pin for the AC adapter broke off inside the tablet, that's a problem, but most everything can be charged from the USB port too see this website:

I think something is wrong with my kindle fire charger

I don't think its your charger. The charger port can get loose after time. This is a known issue with Kindle fire 1st generations. Kindle fire 2nd generations have issues with the battery itself. But the issue with the Kindle fire 1st generation is not the ac adapter. The micro usb port attached to the kindle breaks or becomes loose. Bad soldering is the issue.

What do ido to make my kindleD00901 operational SCRREN showing critical battery

The nice thing is, that the Kindle/Amazon charger (Ac adapter) is clearly marked as being an Amazon/Kindle charger.

So, here's what you do, perform the hard reset of the Kindle (slide and hold the power switch over to 20+seconds; count slowly; release, then connect to your Amazon/Kindle AC adapter. Then leave it connected for 30+minutes; and should the battery charge, the Kindle screen will return to normal.

Alternate step to try is; if you don't have the actual Kindle AC adapter, you will need to try to charge via the USB port from your computer.

The trick here is, that the Kindle takes longer to charge direct from a computer USB port, and the computer has to be left on the whole time and CANNOT go to sleep, as the power to the USB ports might be turned off.
Also, it's best if you connect to a "powered" USB hub, or the USB ports found at the back of a computer tower (not the front USB ports as most of the time, the front ports do not supply enough power for Kindle charging).

My pandigital tablet dont wanna charge

USB Connections
All tablets connect to your computer using a USB cable.
Once connected, the device should charge as long as the computer recognizes it.
Look for manufacturer-specific software to launch once you plug your tablet into your computer; if this software fails to launch, it's likely that your computer hasn't detected the device and won't charge it.
Try a second USB cable, if available, or plug the USB cable into a different port.
If the device doesn't charge in either port, replace the USB cable.

AC Adapters
Some tablets are sold with an accompanying AC power adapter, though these accessories are often optional.
Try plugging your tablet into its AC power connector in the event that its USB cable isn't functioning.
Also check different wall outlets in case the outlet you are plugging your tablet into is defective.
If the device fails to charge in different outlets, the AC adapter may be faulty.

Reboot Like any device with an operating system a computer, a mobile phone or an MP3 player tablet computers can freeze from time to time.
When a computer freezes, you can reboot or restart it to get the operating system working properly again.
This is true of tablets too, but rebooting these systems can be a little tricky.
Check the manufacturer's website for specific instructions to restart your system.
Putting the tablet to sleep and waking it up doesn't clear its memory look instead for the buttons for a "reset," which are different for every brand.
This may clear up any recent malfunctions, like freezing apps or charging issues.

Restore

Just like a computer, tablets sometimes need to be restored to their original state to overcome technical issues like charging problems.
Again, the process of restoring your tablet to its factory default differs from model to model and from brand to brand.
Check the manual or the manufacturer's website for specific instructions, but as a general rule: plug the tablet into your computer using the provided USB cable.
Wait for the appropriate software to load and then look for a "Restore" option.
Follow the onscreen prompts to restore the device.

Power port on le1600 does not charge batteries.

In some Motion LE1600 tablet pcs, the AC adapter port becomes separated from the motherboard. It will charge in the convertible keyboard or docking station because the power comes from the USB connection (for the kb) or the dock connector (for the FlexDock). Motion used to fix this by repairing the solder joint but now they just replace the motherboard (very expensive). There are ways to solder this but the repair doesn't always last unless you have someone really good do it.
