The player works about once a week, than quits. When a CD is put in, it takes a minute or so and then flashes "disc".

I have the same problem.

Our RCA RCD 150 has the same problem. It turns on, then won't turn on again. We would jimmy the power cord around a bit and sometimes it would turn in. Now it won't turn on at all. Hmmmmm...
