Press menu on your Emerson tv,scroll down to features, look for location, press location and under retail you'll see home. You should be back to normal then :)
please follow this step: you have customized the picture and menu settings on your Samsung TV
only to find that they keep reverting back to their default positions,
this is because your unit is in what is referred to as "Shop Mode." This
is the demonstration mode used by electronic retailers to show
potential buyers all the features a Samsung television supports. Press
the "Info" button on your remote control, and if under the "Picture
Mode" heading it reads "Shop Mode," hold down the "Menu" button on the
TV itself until the screen reads "Dynamic Mode." This has changed the
picture mode to one of the pre-set positions. You may now change any
settings you'd like. God bless you
Question
What should I do if my TV is stuck in Retail mode?
Answer
Your TV may have been set to Retail Store mode, which is mainly used on the shop floor. For home use, we recommend that you set the TV to HOME mode, which will allow you to change the settings. To change to HOME mode follow the steps below.
Press the 'MENU' button on the remote control to access the main menu.
Move the cursor down to select INSTALLATION and move the cursor right.
Move the cursor down to select PREFERENCES and move the cursor right.
Select LOCATION and move the cursor right.
Move the cursor up/down to select HOME and press the 'OK' button for confirmation.
When using a hd connection on a philips tv and (I am assuming this is the case) the tv disables the format features on the tv and only lets you select widescreen and automatic, if you are using hd adjust the picture size from the cable/satellite box, look for it in the box's menu system or on the remote, it is usually labeled, aspect ratio, zoom, format or something to that nature, hope I helped you
My Philips Plasma TV model 42PF7220A/37 went into "no menu exit" mode on 11/28/2007. I went to www.usasupport.philips.com and downloaded an upgrade. Just followed the instructions and my TV is all better.
