Rca color track 2000 model f26100ak

Hi i have a rca color track 2000 tube tv model f26100ak. The tv started to be hard to turn on when cold, either nby remote or manual button, then after trying for awhile it would turn on. Now it wont turn on unless i pull the ac cord and put it back several times in the rear of tv. There is a clicking(relay) that doesnt click when tv doesnt turn on. Could it be this little black relay on pc board or is something not right before relay? OOOh forgot to mention when tv is running for awhile(Hot) it will power on/off with no problem with either remote or pwr button.

I have the same problem..I don't know the chasis number but the model number is F26100AK

I bought it in 1988 so its lasted over 20 Years! Oh well, I wonder if repairing it would cost more than just buying a new TV.

    Thanks!

please check all the lights that are in the chassis hitachi puts led in the chassis so that if one of the lights are not working then u know that circuit is bad. now there is 2 things that hit has wroung in the units and that is a 2kv hv cap of the horiz output transistor that burns up and kill the power supply look for a small black or brown fuse it will not have glass on it it is rt behind the reg ic in the center of the chassis it allwas opens up because of the hv cap doonot run the tv without out that cap it will overload the horiz drive and will burn upo the horiz output but u have a very good ctv ther if u fix it will last u a long time and it is a very easy tv to trouble shoot.

SOURCE: RCA P52754AT rear projection tv won't turn on

Good way to test for bad buttons is go inside the back and there is a black multi-wire cable that is connected "front and center" of the center lens on top of the chassis....easy to get to from the back.

Disconnect it....

I've had touchy switches on this unit that cause the problems you're seeing....and who uses the switches? Your remote will still function, and with the buttons disconnected, the microprocessor won't get stuck servicing a false command....which by the way makes it IGNORE the remote when they go goofy on you..... I have a rca universal remote and i dont have the code for me to setup the remote? How can i make it work with my T.V

There are two ways to do it, the first one would be to get the model number of your RCA remote and contact the rca.com website, select the accessories page and then click on universal remotes, there is a window where you type in your model and a listing of codes can be downloaded, the second is to try the code search procedure, which is fairly similar for all RCA universal remotes, press and hold the code search key untill the red light remains on, then press the TV key, after this press the power key once at a time untill the tv turns off, be carefull to give each time you press the power key sufficient time to activate the tv, otherwise you'll go over the code that works on your TV and you'll have to start again. This procedure puts out all the codes programmed into the remote's memory so you'll have to be patient.

First pull back Look for screen and focus block you will have 3 controls ontop for focus and 3 controls below for adjusting screen drive to each Tube R/G/B
turn color off on Menu NOW try to Adjust the red, greenand blue screen drives as close asyou can to a Black and White picture then turn Color back on in Menu also adjust Focus for each Tube Be sure to Clean Top of Tube Lenses of dust&dirt Just in case Post me your Model and Chassis Number it will be on back of TV some RCA Focus&screen drive Block maybe in front of TV if so remove front bottom panel their you will see control box.

Green picture only

The projection TV has 3 guns RED GREEN BLUE. In your case the red and the blue guns are gone. So you are getting the green color screen. You got to replace the picture tube.

17 yr. old 35" RCA loses color intermittently. Picture & sound ok

Three guns Red Blue and Green in the picture tube of an old CRT set. If one of the guns goes out it effects that color. Sounds like one of the guns inside of the tube is going out, To costly to replace for such an old antilog set that will have to have a convertor box next month anyway.

Seeing red !

I had a television that went to a bright shade of blue.A friends neighbor worked for sony television plant where the new tubes came down the assembly line. His job was to make sure tubes were working fine,if one color was dominant then his job was to smack the front center of the tube with a rubber mallot to fix the problem. He suggested i try that with my tube while the set was on.It worked and solved my blue problem.Apparently he explained, the gun connections in the tube came loose and to fix it was to smack it this caused the connection to reweld itself. For you I would use the palm of an open hand and smack the tube dead center with a good hard smack.Dont be afraid of breaking the glass because its very thick and strong.Give this a try.Hope it helps.Good luck!

1989 RCA color track 2000-model no.p46050T projection tv

Terry, bad news, there are no "factory settings" for those alignment pots, every individual pot has a distinct function, and if you look closely at the board you will see that there are pots for each color, red, green, & blue which correspond to your 3 picture tubes, every tv has to have a tech do whats called a convergence alignment when it is being built at the factory, EVERY tv is different, even if you ordered a brand new board it would need this alignment done once the new board was installed. You`ll have to call a tech for this one, no way of getting around it, hope this answers your question, more questions? feel free to email me back, good luck, BMW Rider

The set does not have a blue lamp. The set has a blue picture tube. I have found that the best RCA parts distributor is Union Electronics at 1-800-648-6657. The picture tubes in projection sets are very fragile and dangerous to handle. The new picture tube will come dry, so the lens assembly and seal will have to be assembled onto the new tube and then filled with fresh coolant. The set will then need a complete realignment, everything from screen and focus voltages, bias and drive, yoke and ring position to convergence circuits. If you have no experience in any of the above, do not attempt to replace a picture tube. Allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
