Occasionally the toolbars just transfer themselfves to the side. If this is the problem, and say the toolbars are on the right side, just point near the lower part of the toolbar and then keep the left click mouse button down and drag it back to the bottom of the screen. May take several attempts.

I am assuming that nothing is plugged in when powering up. This usually means that there is a short or damage to the unit. This forum discusses the issue: http://www.apc-forums.com/thread.jspa?messageID=15110

Dynex Te685avr backup battery doesnt work

The sealed batteries in these last about 6 years. You are correct in thinking that you may need a new one. Very easy to install. Here's a supplier of these: http://www.batteryinternational.com/dynex-te685avr-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

Hi, cannot open Hyundai USB storage key 2.2GB

The light flashing when wiggled sounds like your USB connection is intermittent, and your key is made unusable (as if you had pulled it without stopping first) until you reformat it. Try it in another USB port. See if you can tell whether it is the computer side or the key side that is flaky. Could be at the port inside the computer case. Fix or replace whichever is bad.

The screen is darker when unplugged

On your laptop there should be key combinations to change the brightness of your screen. Once you do this, it will stay that way for each mode until you change it again. There should be in blue above the arrow keys, the F keys, or the number keys, a symbol that indicates brightness; one key for up and one key for down. You press the FN key and that corresponding key to turn your brightness up or down. Once you got it set, leave it. It will stay that way until you change it again.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.

Dynex Te685avr backup battery doesnt work

If the battery outlets do not work, typically the Dynex TE685AVR UPS (battery backup) just needs a new battery. These batteries usually last 3-5 years.

The model of the battery is a WKA12-7.5F2 and can be purchased at: http://www.replacementupsbattery.com/Product_pages/wka12-75f2.html.

My compaq pc has a pinkish red screen, how do i get it back to normal?

Usually this is caused by a bad VGA cable. Try wiggling the cable around and see if you can get it to come back to normal. I have one PC right now that I've had to attach a rubber band to to keep the cable in a certain spot so I don't get a tint. Unfortunately, if your VGA cable is built into the monitor, you'll have to replace the monitor but if it's not then you can just purchase a new one and that should solve the whole problem.

If it's not the cable (i.e., you wiggled and twisted it near the computer's plug in and it doesn't change at all) then it's either the monitor itself or the video card. Test the monitor on another computer and see if it does it then reattach it to the original system. If it does then we know it's the monitor.

BlACK SCREEN

Honestly, sounds like theres either a connection problem between the monitor and the motherboard, or the video card died. On the rear of a laptop, theres a serial port (serial meaning a rectangular shape with a bunch of pin holes in it), its used to connect a laptop to an actual computer monitor. Attempt to do this. Its plug and play, meaning it should just work. If you still get no picture on the other monitor, its probably your video card, Look into getting a new one for your pcimia slot (which is the slot located on the side of your computer, which alot of the times, a wireless card is in it). If it DOES show up on the monitor, it may be a faulty connection with the monitor to montherboard...which honestly, I'd recommend letting someone who knows what they are doing, take it apart and make sure... Cus laptops are tricky and delicate to take apart and check yourself.

If its a laptop, odds are, the screen is an LCD, and MOST LCD screens have a half life of at least 20 years... So I'd check the connection before id call it the monitors problem >.< Hope this helps.

Trying to get picture from laptop on tv

first enter in the laptop setup, and find the video option, there you will have something like this:
onboard, extern, both (choose both)
turn off the tv.
boot up windows, right click desktop, properties, choose configuration tab, there wil be two screen, one for monitor the other for tv.
on tv side choose 640x480 (you can try higher resolutions later).
reboot and turn on tv.

worked here.
