I have a trojan virus on my computer. I've been trying to install a new virus program on my computer for about a month now but it won't allow me to do it. I keep getting a message that my old virus program is still on the computer even though I uninstalled it months ago. Is there any way that I can find the program through the C prompt so I can delete it and get my new program to install.

My computer said it had a trojan virus, I bought the norton anti-virus, installed it, and everything was okay, until 3 days later, norton had alerted me that there was another virus and that I had to restart in order to fix the problem. I restarted the computer, and now it won't let me log into my account, it boots up and then I can't get into to the main screen at all.

Your best approach (other than backing-up your data, formatting the disk-drive, reinstalling Windows, and restoring from your backup) is:

1. turn the computer off
2. disconnect the AC power-cord
3. remove the side-panel
4. disconnect & remove the disk-drive
5. install the disk-drive as a "slave" drive in some other computer that has _working_ anti-virus software
6. run a full virus-scan of the "slave" disk-drive
7. disconnect the drive, and re-install it into your own computer

Or, take the computer to a qualified technician, so that they can do the above.

Hi vincent172...
I think you have a virus, worm, trojan, etc on your computer.
Go to the following website and download, install and run the FREE Microsoft Safety Scanner.
It will remove the virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer.
It may take quite a while to finish, it all depends on the size of your hard drive.
Once the Microsoft Safety Scanner is completed running, it should have removed the virus, trojan, worm, etc. from you computer, but if it didn't remove the virus, trojan, worm, etc from your computer then it will give you an option to connect (real time) with a Microsoft professional (FREE) and he will take over control of your computer (with you permission) and finish the removal process.

Remove trojan

A trojan horse virus is a type of spyware that mask itself as real program such as an anti-virus program or a media player. Typical trojan
"Anitivirus 2010" These programs to actually duplicate like most viruses. It just wants you to mistakenly install it.
You can manually remove it from registry.
For example:Steps to Remove Zlob.

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type regedit
4. Find this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
Policies
Explorer
Run

5. Locate the value: "nvctrl.exe" = "nvctrl.exe"
6. DELETE it
This just one of the trojan, we are not computer experts, so we don't know what registry file to disable. Manually removing trojan becames unreality.

Luckily! We can remove trojan with a registry tool!

Visit this page to clean trojan with a registry cleaner.

A registry cleaner can auto scan your registry and find the fault!

I have trojan like which can affect my laptop hack password take out my credit card details.

Have you got an anti-virus program?
If you have did it remove this trojan virus?
If you have not an anti-virus program or the program cannot remove this trojan, then I recommend you format the hard drive and reinstall Windows, the laptop device drivers and your programs.
This is the only sure way to remove such a threat.
Although this is a drastic method, it is better to be sure you do not lose your money to crooks. After installing Windows, install a good quality anti-virus program and keep the virus definition files updated regularly.

HOW CAN I REMOVE TROJAN VIRUS FROM MY PC?

Run your PC in safe mode with networking prompt as an administrator(because in normal mode the virus will not allow/let you to run a setup file if it's a dangerous virus).Install strong anti-virus like Kaspersky, NOD32 etc. registered version. Update the anti-virus in safe mode and also run.

I think it will help you.

Good Luck
