Hello sir,

I think your windows is not genuine or u can't install the genuine notifcation tool by Microsoft. First u go this website and download the windows genuine notification tool. U find at this site....

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/
details.aspx?FamilyID=f8b8bc77-cfa1-47bd-b325-7a6d3893add8&displaylang=en

If you download this tool after they check ur windows is genuine is not. Suppose ur windows is not genuine means we don't have any option simply u reinstall the Windows Updated Service pack 2 version. ok.

Thanks

Don't forget to comment

Good luck
cheers!!!

How do i get my dell d630 to bring up windows after it has done a windows update and keeps displaying 3of3 0% and again it shuts down. I was installing avast onto my laptop when windows started doing...

Hi,
I know this issue is related to Avast AntiVirus, please try Safe Mode, and run an utility to uninstall Avast
Then you can install instead Microsoft Security Essential (MSE), highly recommended.
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?action=printpage;topic=68604.0
Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, aswClear5.exe find it here (http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility) and save it to your HDD (it has uninstall tools for multiple avast versions).
  • 1. Run the avast! Uninstall Utility from safe mode, first for 5.0 and then for 5.1 (if it has a 5.1 option).
  • 2. once complete reboot into normal mode.

No power on will shutdown

Hello

First of all press ALT+CTRL+DEL and start Task Manager, there is probably some application (or other process) that is not reponding. You can kill them to let the shutdown continue, and know what is causing the problem and maybe find an update for it.

Also this means that your computer has not been rebooted properly since the installation of important system updates. If you have "Automatic Updates" scheduled on your machine, these updates could have downloaded and installed without your knowledge. To fix this issue, let the updates finish installing, reboot and then shut down your computer as normal.

Click "Start."

Click "Windows Update." Click "Install Updates" to begin the installation of any updates that have been downloaded to your Compaq Presario. When the "Restart Now" button becomes available, click it once. Your Compaq Presario will shut down Windows, finish installing the updates and then reboot your computer.

Click "Shut Down." Because the updates have finished installing and have been installed properly, your Compaq Presario will now shut down normally and will not immediately boot back up.

Gy laptop keeps failing configure updates every time i turn my laptop on. its really annmoying me as every time i go to shut down, it keeps doing the same "installing 1 of 2 updates"

Hi ahzeal,
One thing you can do that make some changes in automatic updates. Just follow is these steps:- 1.Goto Start---->Run. 2.Type services.msc then hit enter. 3.Find out the Automatic updates or windows updates(in case of Windows Vista or Windows 7). 4.Change it to manual or you can stop that(Depends on your wish).

My hp laptop dosn't move in configuring 3 of 3 - 0%complete,and then it just switch of and on,and comes back to configuring 3 of 3 k 0% complete

Vista Update Stage 3 Stall……

You see Installing Updates Stage 3 of 3... 0% in Vista after you start or restart your computer and it never goes past 0%. Rebooting the computer doesn't change it. It still boots to Installing Windows updates 3 of 3 and never goes past that 0% mark. Sometimes Windows will even reboot in some cases. I have found that this often happens after Windows updates. I have no idea why, but this seems to be a fairly common occurrence. The last one I repaired was caused by a Service pack 1 installation.

Here's what I have done to fix the 3 of 3 error.

You will be doing a System Restore from the Vista f8 startup

Since the computer your working on is probably stuck on this screen the first step will be a hard shut down.

Hold the power button down until the computer shuts down.

Restart the computer.

Tap the f8 key about once or twice per second to get the Safe mode screen to come up.

In Windows Vista there is a new choice when the safe mode selection comes up. "Repair Your Computer"

Highlight the "Repair Your Computer" choice.

Windows will act like it is going t boot up.

You will see a System Recovery Options window.

It will ask you to choose your language.

Click Next

Select your user and put in your password. (leave blank if you don't have a password)

You should now have choices and the one you want is "System Restore"

Follow through the prompts with the Vista System Restore program.

Remember you should pick a restore point that is 1 or 2 points back.

Once you have completed the system restore process you will be asked to restart your computer. Go ahead and restart the computer. It should start correctly at this point. If you don't have a restore point available you may not be able to repair this error. I have not tried to repair one of these without a restore point yet.

My acer computer keeps shuting itself down

Try tapping F8 at startup, and from the list of startup selections, select Safe Mode by using UP Arrow Key to go there > then hit Enter.

Try a System Restore once there, to pick a Restore Point before your problem..

Click Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore > pick a time previous to last update > Next > etc

Fan doesn't shut off ever

I just did a BIOS update on my sisters computer presario f700 and noticed that the update said it would fix some problem with the fan. The update is on Compaq's website under software and drivers. Maybe that would help.

UNMOUNTABLE______BOOT_____VOLUME ***Stop: 0 X

It could be a problem with the harddrive and memories ,if you enter the DELL bios setup page when the computer starts up does it have an option to test the hard drive if so test it.
Also if you have two memory sticks then try with only one and vice versa.

Try booting with another boot CD like the ultimate boot CD it has some hard drive testing tools too.

Good Luck

Toshiba satellite keeps shutting down

my roomate in college faced a similar problem with his satellite. Unfortuneately it sounds you have very few easy fixes in this case. This is why we always tell people to back their data up (this is often available free online these days for small amounts of data). While there are ways for a sophisticated tech to fix these problems... It is not easy to do without being in front of it and ultimately a huge waste of time. The quickest solution (i know this sounds like alot but it is really quite easy and involves little more than 20 screws) is to remove the hard-drive, purchase an external sata/ide drive and copy the data you need to backup onto a friends computer. You can than easily format the drive with a windows dvd upon replacement in the computer. If no data on the drive is to be missed... You're in luck. Just format it.

ACER Aspire 5100 powers down at will

When you turn the laptop on hit f8 until the menu comes up, try use the last good known configuration. If that does not work tap f8 goto safe mode and then to system restore and restore it to an earlier time. Let me know if it works.
