Turning camera on

my z1275 easyshare works wonderfully well once i get it turned on. The problem is that it takes 3-10 tries to get it running. The first time i push the button the blue light comes on, the zoom lens extends all the way out and the screen stays black. If i push any buttons, the blue light goes off and the lens stays extended. The next time i push the on button, the light goes on, and that's it. It takes anywhere from 3 to 10/15 tries for the lens to retract and extend to the proper length and the screen to come on. Really annoying because i love the features and it takes great pictures, also, i waited 6 weeks for it to be backordered...aaargh...;) Please tell me there's something i can to. thanks p.s. its done this right from the box and the guided troubleshooting on the kodak site is unhelpful. thanks again

Take it back to where you got it or send it to Kodak because this should be a warranty issue. I repair these camera's all the time and it should like 1 of 2 things main controller is not making proper connection or a cold solder joint and the connection is intermediately connection making it work once in a while I hope this help you decide on what to do.
