Old hub For the first time in years since buying this hub do I have more than one computer that works. I will soon go wirelees and expand big time but for now does this little beige ( green front panel ) hub need software and does it slow down the downloads? How important is unplugging the power when putting in the ethernet cables?

The hub won't hurt your downloads from the internet. If it is a "hub" and not a "switch", it can affect transfer speeds between your pcs, but the impact probably won't be noticeable on a home network with only two pcs. You do not need to unplug the power to the hub when plugging/unplugging ethernet cables.

In samsung sync master 720 xt the windows xp embedded is not working so where to get its windows source and how to install it

sync master is a display and not a system.
what system.?
rule 1, if system came with XP, then get the restore disks
from THEM.
if not?

is this and XP question ,
did you know XP is DEAD !, MS is taking it off line for ever soon.
no support, soon. leaving virsus and malware , attacks wide open.
so, why use XP?
and nobody (legal) sells it, now. (all MS and ask....)
you might luck out and find an unused original disk. (NOS)
new (old stock)! its called , might be worth big cash as a collectible.?

with the MS logo and all, ive not seen one in may years.
i see only 2 on fleabay , and both are from EU, and are illegal.
ebay blocks most of these but some leak in. daily. do not buy em.

EX is vastly unsecure. and soon, this willl get far worse
if connected to internet and for sure EMAIL.
do not run XP if you do things , important to you .
better ?
if no cash,
get a $25 PC with at least 2 core processor.
I see them at The GOOD will all the time. with 4gb ram,
up date it.
and buy W8 upgrade.
ask for my free list of how to do that.

I tested W8 on an old pc with a old AMD Simeron, it ran ok.
with very little mem. say 2gb.
w8 is more efficient, even with metro not working.

or ask friends for a disc to barrow and run repair mode
dont expect a DELL Xp disk to worn on a non exacty matching DELL system, and the like.

I only have 1 USB outlet and need a mouse? what kind should i get for this old computor

Luckily this is an easy, inexpensive fix. All you need is something called a USB hub. These can be obtained from most any computer store or 'big box' store like Best Buy. Here is an online source so you'll know what you're asking for. There are hundreds of other sources but here is just one.
http://www.staples.com/Staples-4-Port-USB-2.0-Mobile-Hub/product_837527

When you get it, you simply plug IT into your single USB port, and your printer, mouse or other devices into the remaining ports (most USB hubs have 4-6 ports). That's it. Now boot up your computer and it should see the devices plugged in.
I hope this response helps you out.
I wish you the very best of luck! If I can help you further, please let me know.

Can this be used with my home computer to rum my fax machine and web cam

This is a straight forward USB hub, allowing you to expand a sing USB port to four
USB ports. anything you normally connect to a USB port on your PC can be connected through this. The only thing to remember is that the USB port on the PC is designed to provide 500mA of current, and if you use a USB hub then the total current of all devices connected is still 500mA. If you require more power then you can buy powered USB hubs.

Driver for v220 logitech mouse os win 98

Hi

I'm afraid the USB mouses will not work on windows 98, please use the adapter so it fits into a ps2 port. (the old mouse plug) then of course you can check the logitechs website if they offer any drivers for windows 98 but its very unlikely.

Actually I looked myself and the oldest they offer is xp.

so it would be a good time to buy a new computer, yours must be around 12 years old. considering that 5 year old machine is considered old, your 12year old machine is ancient.

Yeah, buy a Kenmore next time. I have one of these JUNK Maytags and less than 5 years the compressor is shot. The 15 year old Kenmore in the garage that has never had the coils cleaned is still going STRONG.

Trying to get rear braKE DRUMS OFF A 1995 cHEVY k2500

Okay, we're talking about drums and not rotors, correct?

Some drums have two tapped holes into which you can screw the proper bolt and it will push the drum off.

Before drums started appearing with these "holes", the solution was to loosen the brakes by turning the star wheel adjuster accessed through a slot in the bottom of the back of the wheel. There is a brake tool you can buy at Pep Boys for turning this star wheel. This tool makes it easier than using a screwdriver, but a screwdriver will do.

Problem in scanned images uploading

If you have 50 units of computer working the same time such as uploading big files, the problem for the rest among your 7 computers that work fast is between the hub connectors on the network system. You can check this connectors by replacing those slow ones to that faster computers.
Then if your faster computers slow down and the replaced connectors from slow working bacomes fast then the problem is in your hub distribution connectors.
If you had trace to that problem, then replace the whole unit of hub connectors.

Yes, but you'll need a crossover cable to connect the two routers. You could buy a hub or a switch. They are easier to configure and cheaper.
