2004 5L Hiace fails to start however whines.

this is the first thing i would do since it has not run for a long time.
1 make sure it has fuel, check filter, loosen the bolt securing the fuel line to the pump and see if fuel is coming out, if it does you have fuel in the injection pump. retighten.
2 loosen nuts on injection lines to injectors 4 if you have 4 cyl. eng.
and crank the engine (start) until you see fuel coming out from each line then re-tighten lightly. start the engine*, it may take a while for the engine to run if the glow plugs are not working properly. once the engine is running its time to bleed or purge air out of the line, to do this
loosen one at a time the nut you have re-tightened lightly until fuel and air come out, tighten when no visible air bubble only solid fuel stream. do this on the rest of the injectors, you will feel the engine run smooth.

*if there is no fuel coming out after continuous cranking the engine for 30 sec to a minute, injection pump may have a problem possibly the rotor vanes inside the pump is stuck due water in fuel and engine not running for a long time. you may have to have the injection pump overhauled and recalibrated.

92 Isuzu pickup first start of day rough

Hi Dustin, I'm not sure if we're talking about a diesel vehicle or one with fuel injection or using a carburetor? If it has fuel injection, have the temperature sensor (with two cables) inspected for correct operation. If we're dealing with a vehicle with a carburetor, inspect the automatic choke operation. If it's diesel have the fuel filter pump housing inspected for air leakage. If it is diesel and the problem becomes more apparent, the injector pump and injectors may require repair, service and adjustment. Regards John

Leak injection pump

Sounds like you are going to have to drop the tank out to inspect and fix. with luck it will be leaking from the fuel pump seal or the return line. If your truck is fuel injected , and the pump is in the tank , regular fuel line hose won't do, need to buy stronger hose rated for fuel injected cars. If it is the return line, won't be as high presure.

Obd code of p0411 on a 1999 ford mustang 3.8 v-6 what do I check to correct

That's s failure of the secondary air pump. It'll have to be changed. It's an emissions component meant to help with cold start emissions. It won't cause engine running trouble but at inspection time you'll fail for smog. Change it before then and you'll be fine.

I ran out of gas in my 1993 chevy silverado 350 now its running like hesitant and sputtering , how can i fix this problem

1st check the Fuel Pressure. Often times a fuel injection system fuel Pump ran dry, can more or less implode, the suction becomes too strong and ruins the diaphragm, thus causing low-to-no pressure. faulty fuel pumps can run just slightly under the fuel injection systems Low tolerance, causing the issues that you have mentioned. this is not 100% the answer just a good place to start. Low fuel pressure= change fuel filter, still low pressure= fuel pump. The cheap carport mechanic method would be to change filters first, if the have been changed recently, move toward replacing the Fuel Pump. (some pump are located in the fuel tank, if yours is not your in luck!)
