I think you are in dual zone mode. Switch back to single zone mode to see if it help. Goodluck.

Maybe your output chip is fried for those channels. It can happen when you just barely let + and - speakers leads touched(no matter how briefly it happened). You can have it replace for about $150 or just simply add an external amp and run those speakers thru your rca out put for less than that and get much better sound. I assume you know how to hook up and install an amp. Goodluck.

My kenwood kvt 729 dvd monitor is not working. The screen remains white with a thin blue line across the screen when powered up. i have reset the unit and checked all wiring. i have audio but no

Thanks for posting your question, I am here to help!

If you hear sound but no video chances are the screen is indeed the issue now here is what you can do.

  • Check for a replacement screen and put it in yourself.
  • Take the unit to a factory authorized repair center.
  • if there are A/V outputs you can hook up a external screen (most models have this)
The screen is bad because of the following issues:

The back light witch is the white background you see is firing (not a back light issue)
There is a bar running across the screen meaning the LCD is damaged or defective.

Now in rare cases you can go in and check and see if the Ribbon cable is dislodged from the main board, do not shoot the messenger but it happens. Other then that I feel you need a new lcd screen for this unit based on what you told me.

I apologize in advance if I was not clear on my answer to you.

Thanks for using

I have the kvt 617 I have great audio when listening to radio nut anythig else I only have subs it started doing it when i first got it and then it quit and know it is doing it again any idea?

High end kenwoods have a setting, where you can turn off the internal amp in the head unit, if the sub is the only thing that has an external amp hooked to it, and it is playing, that may be your problem. Also, if one of the speakers hooked directly to the Kenwood has a short, bad voice coil, or contacts touching metal, that can cause the amp in the Kenwood to go into protect, and you will loose sound to all the speakers.

Kenwood kvt-719dvd A/V interface was lock

On the front of your unit you have a small pin hole (front right hand side) you will need something small to push this in & it will reset the unit . Once the unit is reset you will need to get into your audio settings and set them back up so that everything sounds correctly.

Kenwood kvt m700- playing cds

The M700 is purely a monitor so you will not be able to control play, pause, stop, skip, FF or RWD. I use my DVD player as a CD player and have to use the DVD remote to change tracks.

The unit is clipping which means it's too loud, lower the volume and should be fine.
