I have a 46 inch panasonic hdtv that i brought 5 years ago, recently it went out, i think it was attributed to the lamp but not sure. when i turn it on you can hear it come on but thats it no picture or...

If it is a model that uses a lamp and it has never been replaced then I suspect the lamp first. The sound on these lamp driven sets will not come on until the lamp fires up. If you have your owners manual, take the lamp out and physically look at it and see if it has blown. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thank you....

Sound with No Picture

If the lamp hasn't been replaced I would suspect it first. Depending on your full model number of your TV will determine the lamp you need.

Model HDLP61W151YX1 = 260962 LAMP
Model HDLP61W151YX2 = 265103 LAMP

The sticker with the model number will have a service model number that will include the YX! or YX2 at the end of it.

Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thank you.

If you still have red light , it means the temperature of the lamp is too much. Did you buy the original part number of the lamp.
