Question about HP Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook
I've got one big problem.
one day when I started my PC, after the compaq logo there was a message flashed "System encountered a error. Failure is imminent.backup ur system.Press F1 to continue."
...something like that.and on pressing F1 every thing goes normal.
someone told that there is a bad sector in the hard disk and I have to change it. I tried to farmat the PC with windows OS but It gave a problem that it was unable to find memory sectors. then i used disk manager to format it and it was DONE. but as soon as I again installed WIN XP i again got the same problem at booting. since then I am pressing F1 whenever I start my PC. Suggest me with some solutions. Do i really have to change the hard disk.
Bad sectors on a hard disk is an every day thing, the hard drive keeps a bunch of spare sectors and a table to reroute bad sectors to the backups. This warning basically means that you are out of backups, and now you may start losing real data if you do not change the hard disk.
