Can i use 18 mm tape in the P touch 100? I get an error message. The cassette is also thicker than the unit, so the back doesn't fit back on.

Cassette tape does not work, probably needs belts, I don't know where to get them from, Could you help? Thank you

All you need to do is remove the old belts (making a note of how they fit). Then measure the diameter of each belt in MM. You then put this into "Google Cassette Tape Belt XX mm" for each belt. Or you might find a site that stocks a range of them. Belts are universal and are generally specific to any machine. You don't have to be precise on the measurements either. A 50mm belt will replace one measured a 55mm.

My AWIA HS-TX426 can't play cassette tapes

John Check if the capstan is rotating This is a shaft that touch the rubber wheel in the cassette Does the motor run properly? You say it is new then it should be under warranty take it back to the supplier and they should repair or replace it. If it was standing for a very long time i.e. 20 or more years then the mechanism is bound and if you know what you do then lubricate with sewing machine oil on all levers and shafts the motor can also do with a single drop ( 1 millimeter wire dipped for 25 mm in the oil and the oil that drops off, is the size of a measured drop of oil) I did get some Revox machines that were standing for such a long time and I had to use a pump pliers to get those wheel to turn they were BOUND but after playing it for a while they became working again

Teac v 370 cassette deck belt

You need only to measure the diameter of the belt in mm. Then enter "cassette tape belt ??mm" into Google. They are universal. If you're measurement comes to say 53mm then a smaller belt of say 50mm will fit it.

Mke certain you make a note of how it fits before removing the belt.

I have a Brother label maker, model number pt65. How do I install the tape. I cant get it to feed through. Thank You

1) Remove the back cover by pressing in on the rough
area at the top end of the machine and pulling off the
back cover.

2) If a tape cassette is already installed, pull it straight out
and remove the paper tab from the new tape cassette.
Make sure that the end of the tape in the new cassette
feeds under the tape guides.

3) Insert the tape cassette, making sure that it clicks into place.
Check that the cassette fits properly around the two
metal guides in the cassette compartment.

4) Attach the back cover by inserting the two hooks on the
bottom end of the back cover into the slots on the bottom
end of the machine, then pushing down firmly on
the cover until it snaps into place.
5) Feed the tape by holding down and pressing ,
then cut the tape by pressing in on the tape cutter button.
The amount of tape remaining is visible through the
window in the back of the P-Touch.
When the usable tape is finished, green ribbon appears

Hope this helps

I have a cassette player CT-5 circa mid 80s and I need new drive belts. Can they be found?

Just measure the diameter of the belts in mm. Then type "Cassette drive belt ??mm" into Google. Belts are not specific to any maker. PS you don't need to be spot on with the mm measurement.
Make a note of how they fit before removing them.

Where can i purchase belts for sony tc we425

You only need to measure the diameter of each belt you need in MM. Then put the result into Google as "Cassette Drive Belt ??MM."
Belts are generally universal and not made by any one maker. You don't have to be precise in the MM also, a few either way will work. Make a note of how they fit before removing any.

I am looking for drive belts for Sony Model TC-WR801ES stereo casette deck

All you need to do is measure the diameter of each belt in MM. Then put "Cassette drive belt ??mm" into Google and you should find a supplier. Belts are not generally specific to any maker. Also you don't need to be precise on the MM. If you are removing them to measure, make a note of how they fit first.

Ive got a Sony tc-ke600s cassette deck which a wobble in the sound when playing or recording and would like to know what I can to so solve this problem? Thanks Mark

Chances are it will be the belts which will be either worn or loose. To replace them make a note of how the fit, take photos if that helps. Once off measure the diameter in mm (you don't need to be spot on with it). Then enter "Cassette drive belt ??mm" into google.

Error 56

When you insert the cassette, make sure the cradle is symmetrically aligned on both side of the centre line in the orange band on real end of the cradle. If it is assymmetric on either side of the centre line you will have this error.

CHR SIZE AUTO?

Press the Return button and the machine will automatically print the size the tape will allow! :) Title:
What does the error message "CHR SIZE AUTO?" mean? Description:This message appears when the selected character size is too large for the width of the tape cassette installed.

You have the following options:

  • Press the "Print" or "Return" key to allow the P-touch machine to automatically select the maximum character size that fits the tape width.

  • Press the "BS" key to clear the message, and then install a wider tape cassette.

  • Press the "BS" key to clear the message, and then select a smaller character size by following these steps:

    1. While holding the "Code" key, press the "Size" key. The display will show the current character size.

    2. Keep the "Code" key held, and press the "Size" key until the desired size is displayed.
If you select "AUTO", the P-touch machine will automatically adjust the character size to the largest possible size.

    3. Release the "Code" to apply the setting.

If you have the correct size tape installed and still get the error message, please try removing the cassette from the machine and reinstalling it. Also, check that the tape cassette is seated firmly in the compartment.

Note
The following table shows the maximum character size that can be used with each tape width.

    Tape Width Maximum Character Size 1/4" (6 mm) 12 points 3/8" (9 mm) 18 points 1/2" (12 mm) 24 points 3/4" (18 mm) 42 points
