Did you format this card with your pc first, you should not have, is the card under 2gb,the phone can not handle a 2g card or over,,
now if you did not format the card with your pc and it is under 2g,you can now try to format card with your phone, it will not be able to use the card until it is formatted with the phone,,if this does not work then try formatting the card with pc then try it again with phone.

reflash the mobile , take it to a mobile service shop and have them do that for you

you must have an emulator to format it... emulator is quiet expensive so just visit your nearest repair shop to do it for you... just let them know your prob...
