The problem could be an issue with the lid switch or also a broken belt. Check to see if the unit will agitate. This washer and a 2 speed motor which spins one way to agitate and the opposite to drain and spin. If the unit sounds like its running then its probably a belt and idler pulley issue. IF the unit is completely dead it could be a bad lid switch, timer, or motor.

HOW TO CHANGE BELT ON MAYTAG STACKABLE WASHER AND DRYER COMBO.

Is this an LSE series Washer/Dryer?
The two units are separate, joined only by a plug and socket at the rear of the washer. There maybe Sellotape on the sides of the washer holding it onto the dryer legs, this was part of the transportation protection, just cut it off.
Disconnect the power, Disconnect the plug and socket.
Pull the washer forward until you can tilt it back to rest on the bottom section of the dryer. The belts are accessible underneath the washer unit.
BUT.. Why do you want to change the belts??

My daughter's maytag lse 1000 series 10 stackable dryer runs but does not dry. Where should I begin because she does not have a manual?

Hi,
When you say it runs, I presume it spins but doesn't get hot. There are 3 likely causes for this.
1. The heating element has blown
2. The thermal overload switch is open
3. There's a loose wire going to the heating element

Best wishes,

Maytag stacked washer/dryer fills with water, makes noise like it's working, but won't agitate, but at the end of it's cycle pumps out but won't spin either. Is this a belt problem? If so how hard is it to...

Definately sounds like the belt is off. Not too big of a problem for small hands mechanics. Usual problem lately with Maytag is the spindle pulley. For some reason they haven't been tightened properly and the pulley and belts are falling off. Pull it out from the wall remove the panel and see what you've got, really simple on the bottom end. Complicated stuff is up in the control panel. Make sure you get the pulleys lined up as close to level as you can or the belt will jump off on you during spin cycles. Good Luck!

Kenmore stackable washer dryer. Dryer buzzer is

Just solved this problem for a Kenmore stackable washer dyer! Sorry I don't have the model number. I have a baby on the way and a small house. I was pretty sure I would get no sleep between the baby crying and the baby crying because of that darn buzzer!

The buzzer is attached to the timer with a quick connect post. Access the controls by unscrewing the large panel above the washer door. You will need a square screwdriver or a very small flathead and some vice grips to get it started. The panel will fall forward onto the washer. In mine there was a pouch with an electrical diagram of the unit. To release the controls, two more screws must be removed from the sides of the small panel housing the controls. Once again you need a square screwdriver or a very small flathead and some vice grips to get it started. Once these are out you should be able to lift the control panel up and it will fall forward. Get a small box or stand to put on the washer. This will support the panel as the wires are not that long. On the left side of the timer controls you will see a quick connect post marked with an "H". Disconnect this wire and your problems are solved. Beautiful silence! I put electrical tape on the quick connect wire. Not sure if I needed to as I'm not an electrician. Hope this helps.

Stackable maytag washer and dryer

Hello, on most Maytag units you can take the the front panel off by removing 2 phillips screws , 1 on each side of the front panel. With the panel off you can run the machine and see where the water is coming from. Good luck

Maytag front lead stackable

That is correct. Take the screws out of the console up top. look for a burn mark on your circuit board. If it's on R11, replaced your door lock wax motor as well at the board.
