If when you try to turn it on it shows the green light for about 10-30 sec. then shuts off by itself it means you have a bricked PSP which you can fix by using a Pandora battery which you can make by reading some tutorials or you can buy them off ebay.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It sounds like your PSP has been bricked and you need to fix it with a pandora battery kit from www.pandorasales.com. The pandora battery kit comes with a memory stick that contains the program to recover your psp and install custom firmwares if you want and the battery places the PSP in service mode to allow it to be operated on by the program. You could try recovering your PSP by making sure its off. Then hold the right R trigger on the PSP and hold it while turning it on. If you see a PSP recovery menu then you can recover it without a pandora battery kit. It may take a few times before it enters the recovery menu, but note that all PSP's dont have them on there.
Well if it got hosed by water there is not much of a solution. If your are tech. inclined you can order the control board off of ebay for a fraction of the cost of buying a new psp. There are diagrams on how to disarm and rearm the thing best of luck to you.
You might have a brick psp, you need to reflashing your psp.. If you have Custom firmware installed e.g. M33, you can try this first;
try to boot your psp to recovery menu, ( hold R-trigger when turn on your psp), you should see M33 recovery menu, then select "advance" then "Format flash1 and reset setting", if it does not work you need pandora battery for unbricking your psp. or you may consider to sending it back to Sony for repair.You can call SONY support at 1-800-345-7669.
Hopefully this help.! Pls post back should you need additional information, and also Show your Appreciation, to help other USER.

it sounds like you have bricked your psp there are ways around this but its to do with changing settings and adding a recovery program to your psp (in other words hacking) but i aint the expert on this but if you search it up on youtube you can find some great videos that people have uploaded with the same problem as you and they show you how to get around your problem, im stuck with a problem with a region code not been correct and i dont know if i need to use the recovery program to help me through it.
it probably froze try and remove battery. if that dont work turn it on and wait a second then hold the power switch in the off position but do not let go until it turns off that should completey restart it.
