Hello, when i turn on my computer, it's giving a message: "C:\users\......\AppData\Local\Temp\csrss.exe specified in the registry". How can i solve this problem.

csrss.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

Now update your anti-spyware (Spyware Doctor orMalwarebytesAnti-Malware are recommended) and run a full system scan.
You can download "malwarebytes anti-malware" on this page:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

If this helps orsolves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonialfor myresponse.

Removing w32.virut.cf virus

Try the free version of Malwarebytes
If you have issues installing it, try renaming the file and then renaming the main .exe after it's installed. Some viruses and trojans can recognize the file name and prevent it from installing/running. Also try safe mode to install and run a full scan.

Dialog boxes keep popping up saying that "Update manager failed " followedby other related boxes. I cannot get them to go away.

Hi,
If you haven't installed some kind of an update manager then these dialogue boxes are most likely due to adware or spyware on your system.
Try installing an anti-spyware utility an do a full system scan for spyware. There are many spyware utilities available on the internet for free. Do a google search to find a free spyware application.
Hope this is helpful.

no components are attacked by viruses or trojans, only software and the bios can be attacked, and obviously they are prevented by antivirus/spyware programmes

From your cryptic description, and the extremely limited details given. It sounds like you may have some spyware installed on your computer. If you have an anti-spyware program installed make sure it is NOT listed on 'The Spyware Warrior List of
Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites'
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

Those are "anti-spyware programs" that install their OWN spyware, while 'supposedly' removing everything else.

Use instead "Ad-Aware 2007", "Spybot - Search & Destroy" "SpywareBlaster" are three good ones. Beware of imitations and name similarities. install and update then run them weekly.

Then stay OFF of Weird and Strange websites!  ;>)

Install McAfee SiteAdvisor.
