Question about Gateway Solo 9550 Notebook
I have taken out every screw i could find but i still can't get my gateway 9500 solo to come apart what's holding it together.
There is a panel hat can be removed with a flat head screwdriver, revealing the innards and screws, yeay screws.

No no no, you have to remove the panal on the keyboard where the power button is. More screws, then remove the keyboard, and what do you know, more screws.

Never worked on a gateway 9500 , but I bet with all screws removed you have to pry it apart with a screw driver in a the side cracks.. be careful.

The LCD is fine as you can see the display.
This is a backlight fault.
This may have been caused by dropping (breaking the backlight tubes) or the inverter circuit has become faulty.
This should not cost hundreds to repair.
I think you should talk to the seller with a view to getting your money back first though.
