The wifi board on this model is located in the screen portion of the unit. It will have 2 circular antenna connectors on it. You will have to disconnect the screen from the base & unplug all of the connectors going from the motherboard to the screen to get it off. The screen is difficult to disassemble but start with the plastic part on the bracket. Hope this helps.

This should help you. However, I would recommend a professional service this for you if you are at all uncomfortable doing it on your own.

Good Luck,

This tells me nothing on where the Wi-Fi is located and how to replace it. Just about the covers, and HP Support don't show in thier manuals. So, How do you replace the WiFi in the HP IQ770?

  • Logan Runn Feb 14, 2014

AThis does not tell me how to locate the WiFi an replace it. It only shows how to open the case. Hp.com manual does not give that info either.
