How do I change the vibrate length on my EnV Touch when I recieve text messages?

hi hogies114 Listrn you need to take the battery out of the phone. Next you will need to dial *228 tand then hit send . Next you hit option 1 and let then phone reprogram. now you should be able to d\senf and recieve txts meassages on yout phone. Hope this help

Hi, the cause of message failed it's related to your sim card (network), not your samsung cell phone. In most cases, regarding text messages, the problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the sim card on another phone? If not, remove the sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number, or you can do it in vise versa by inserting another sim card on your mobile.

If you can't receive text messages even it's inserted on another handset, then you need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.

You can check the message center number, but I don't think it's very much important in your case, well, if you wanna try, just check the text message settings and verify that the message center number (which is currently in use) is the same number which is on another phone with the same network (the other sim should be of the same network in your area). If it's different, make the changes and save the settings. Also disable the "Receive Via" or similar settings.. (I can't recollect the exact settings as i don't have the same model with me, please excuse me for this.).

If the same sim card doesn't receive text messages using another handset, don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it, first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.

This is actually a problem in some new touchscreen phones sometimes do freeze. The best thing to do would be to see if there is a software update available for you phone. If not then you need to contact verizon and check if they would let you exchange your phone, depending on how long you have had it.

You don't have to have the spindle... just go to "touch settings" and turn the vibrate on. I had the same problem.

I use an HTC Touch. Hopefully the menu should be the same in Touch HD as per the Touch. Try this..
Start -> Settings -> in the Personal tab, click Notifications -> u might see 2 tabs -> select Notifications tab again -> select an Event (here it is incoming SMS) -> below you'll see the Vibrate option -> tick on it to enable it -> Select OK to save.

You are in the right place but looking at the wrong option, if you scroll down on the Normal profile you will see a message tone option, if you are not hearing a tone at the moment then I suspect it will say "No Sound". Tab this option and select Existing sound, you will then be able to navigate through the sound files on your phone and choose one of the Default Sounds (from the folder by the same name) or an MP3 or other supported sound file you have added to your phone.

If that doesn't solve your problem then you may have a faulty phone.

You can change the sound you get when sound alert is switched on by going to Settings > Touch Settings > Touchscreen Effect and choosing a different sound from the Tone option. You can also change the volume of the tone of severity of touch vibration here.

none. you can send an email to a phone number which by send to adx: xxxxxxxxxx@vtext.com (Xs' are the area code and phone number) the person will have to recieve two messages. there is a limit to the length of each sms(text) message (i think it is 164 characters)
