Hearing a Plantronics Voyager 510 headset through a computer:
To use a Plantronics Voyager 510 headset through your computer, you
either need a USB Bluetooth adapter or you must have Bluetooth built in
to your computer. Once the Voyager 510 headset is "connected" to your
pc (by one of the mentioned ways), you may need to go into the control
panel on the computer or the specific software program being used to set
the Plantronics Voyager 510 headset as the "default device". Keep in
mind that the headset has to be powered on and to also have to activate
the headset to connect to the Bluetooth adapter or computer.
Did they ever work or are you trying them on a new computer? They don't need switching on you just plug the plug into the audio out of your sound card or motherboard, make sure the mute button isn't selected on the inline remote.
Play an mp3 on your computer, make sure the volume on your computer is turned up, plug in another known working set of headphones or active speakers make sure you can hear the music, then plug out those speakers and then plug in the headphones. Do they work when you try that?
1. Double click on the volume control icon in the system tray, that is on the right hand bottom side of the screen. Check if the microphone is muted.
2. Right click on the same icon, and select "adjust audio properties." You will now get a window that says Sounds and Audio Devices Properties. Click on the tab named voice on top of that window, and check what is selected as the voice recording device. Check in the drop down menu to change the device and use the "test hardware" option to test the mic.
3. Make sure your microphone is working fine. Other people are not hearing your music from your microphone, but from your system itself.
I had the same problem. If you are trying to connect to the internet try plugging in your sciphone with the USB cable to your laptop or computer. Try connecting to the internet via phone and a message will come up if you want to download. Save this. It will help configure your phone. It worked for me.
You can connect your Jabra 125 to your computer's audio output and listen to music via the ear piece. You need to make the adjustments in the control pannel. Set the audio/sound output to the blue tooth. You also need to sync the earpiece to the pc via a dongle or bluetooth adapter on the pc. Works great...
Before you use your Jabra BT130, you need to pair it with your mobile phone. 1. Put the headset in pairing2 mode Make sure that the headset is on. Press the answer/end button and press the volume up (+) button at the same time, until a solid blue light comes on. 2. Set your Bluetooth phone to ‘discover’ the Jabra BT130 Follow your phone’s instruction guide. This usually involves going to a ‘setup,’ ‘connect’ or ‘Bluetooth’ menu on your phone and selecting the option to ‘discover’ or ‘add’ a Bluetooth device. 3. Your phone will find the Jabra BT130 Your phone then asks if you want to pair with it. Accept by pressing ‘Yes’ or ‘OK’ on the phone and confirm with the passkey or PIN3 = 0000 (4 zeros). Your phone will confirm when pairing is complete. In case of unsuccessful pairing, repeat steps 1 to 3.
