    BLACK SCREEN IN PICTURE MODE

I have the same problem. The camera has worked perfectly until today when noticed that all of the photos I have taken recently came out black and I can not view what I am photographing through the monitor but I can view pictures on the memory card taken before the problem occurred. I changed memory cards and had the same problem so definitely the memory card and the monitor are functioning but for some reason the image to be photographed is not getting recorded through the lens. I have not dropped or otherwise damaged the camera. Help!
