I have an Akai LCT2060 that won't turn on. The brick on the power cable has the green light on when it's plugged in, but when you press the power button on the tv, nothing happens at all. Any guesses?
Akai CFTD2052 suddenly stopped working. It was working fine then just stopped. Satellite box is plugged into the same outlet and is fine, so it's not a blown fuse. It just won't turn on anymore.Akai CFTD2052 suddenly stopped working. It was working fine then just stopped. Satellite box is plugged into the same outlet and is fine, so it's not a blown fuse. It sounds that, the memory IC to your TV has damaged. This IC can be located very near to main system control IC. A very small one, with 8 solder terminals. Even though it is very small, function of it while the TV works is great. The work is a semi-skilled one, and you must have some knowledge in electronics to proceed.
Sounds like power regulator board fault. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
You should be something in electronics to gasp the essence of the posts there.
Popping sounds are bad. Usually shorting electrical somewhere. Is the light on the power brick green? flashing? Red?
It's either a bad power brick or a bad connection in the laptop. You can buy a power brick fairly cheap, but if its out of warranty and the problem is not in the brick its probably not worth it to fix.
I recently bought a used LCT2060 that had no remote. I figured my
comcast cable remote would work without a problem but it didn't. So 3
universal remotes later I found my solution...a radio shack
universal gamer remote. It controls up to 5 components plus your
xbox360, playstation and pc. The price on sale was a mere 12.97, not bad
if you ask me. Hope this helped. The code that worked for the Akai
was 11676. Take care...
