Depends on the brand and model of the in-dash receiver. Most would be using 5 amps or less so a fuse of the same rating should work just fine. There are other lower wattage units that would run at about 2~3 amps.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Which ports do I use to connect a Thorens TD166 turntable to a VSX D511 reciever, and does it require a pre - amp

Turntable plugs into an RIAA pre amp, (if not fitted within the turntable) then to a line level input on your amplifier.

Ets light stay on can't turn it off.2002 Oldsmobile Alero.

Why would you expect to turn it off ?

We have had the dash malfunction lights
on vehicles since 1981,some 35 years now

That seems long enough to learn about vehicles

If any light is on after the motor is running, you have a
system fault, that has to be found & repaired

How exactly in your mind, would just turning off a dash light,
substitute for an actual required repair?

Why is a red check trans light flashing on 2005 rodeo, drives ok light flashes all the time

I wouldn't be using any vehicle with transmission issues

May have ruined it already, just using it a few miles-- verse--
actually checking for codes, diagnosing them & making the
required repairs,as with all vehicle issues & all dash lights
that stay on, after your motor is running

How reset abs light on kia carens ?

You have to retrieve your obd codes
& diagnose the system with the fault,
& make the required repairs, if necessary

There is very little that gets reset on a vehicle

That would only clear ALL Data needed to work on
the vehicle & should be avoided, even after a repair

When all Emission Monitors & self checks run, the dash
lights should be out--- IF--- you have no out of range parameters

the heater core requires several components to the dash to be removed but the dash itself stays put. not a fun job laying under the dash on the pass side

Hi I want to add 2 extra speakers (for outdoors) to my Pioneer VSX-519V and see in the manual that I require a separate amplifier. Why is that necessary & if so can you recommend one please ? Thank...

Technically, you dont need an additional amplifier to run another set of speakers. This amplifier has a second zone output option. What you need to do is connect your outdoor speakers to the second zone on the reciever, than you can turn it on and select the desired source from your remote.

Rx-v795a reciever shuts off after 5 min or more can not hear fan in reciever for cooling.

This is a common question on this site. Amps of all types have protection circuits to keep them from doing a self meltdown. Testing follows this logic. 1. Remove all speaker wires. 2. Keep the volume down - all the way. 3. Turn the unit on. 4. If it does not trip off, then there is a problem either in a speaker or the wiring. a. Reconnect one at a time until/unless it trips off b. That will tell you where to look further.
If it does trip off, then there is an internal circuit issue in the amp and probably requires professional help to fix.

Audio from laptop to yamaha amp (rx-v18oo)to sony lcd

you will need a 3.5mm TRS minijack to stereo RCA (red & white)lead.
Connect the headphone-out of the laptop to a line input on the reciever - one of the following inputs should work: CD, CD-R in, Tape in. Do not connect to the Phono input
set the output volume of your laptop about 50% to avoid distortion.
As for connecting the amp to the LCD, it really depends what inputs your screen has, but if you can- run HDMI.
