Follow the cable from the Comcast set top box and see where it is plugged into the tv. Check what that jack is labled and then select that option on the TV menu. My guess is that the tv and dvd are not both on component 2, if the are then the set top box is not connected directly to the tv but to the DVD unit. In that case, if the cable set top box is connected to the dvd, then you might need to put the tv on ch 3 (or maybe 2 or 4) or you may need to switch a setting on the DVD box or remote that selects the TV/DVD option.

When you say the TV is FUZZY, do you mean that there is no picture there at all?
It is possible that your grandaughter may have changed the VIDEO INPUT MODE SELECTOR on the TV by accident when she tried to turn it on with the controls on the TV itself.
Most TVs have a button right on the front of the set itself labelled INPUT which allows you to switch between the various input modes. That button should be located right beside the POWER, CHANNEL, and VOLUME buttons on the TV's front panel.
You may simply need to press the INPUT button and select the proper INPUT SOURCE for your Comcast cable box.
The proper INPUT MODE for your particular setup will depend on how your Comcast cable box is connected to your TV. If your cable box is plugged into your TV with an HDMI cable, then make sure your TV INPUT MODE is set to HDMI.

Okay you TV is hooked to a comcast modem? or do you mean My tv is hooked to the comcast converter box? A no picture but sound you want to first check you cables also try hooking up a dvd to the tv and see if that picture comes on if not and you got no pic and sound this would mean the backlight on this tv is dead or you got a bad inverter not converter, inverter inside the tv. Meaning it needs the repairshop but try and hook up a dvd to it and see if you got picture if so you cable box might be the issue call comcast!

This low audio problem happened to me suddenly yesterday. I powered off over night - no change. I plugged the A/V cables into a second TV - no change. I called Comcast - problem solved. Tap these buttons on the remote;
Hi, Sounds like the splitter that allows the cable to go to other tvs might have a problem or there is an old filter somewhere that needs to be removed. Check the splitters and make sure they are the right type and you don't have one that says "in" and out to UHF of VHF but tv 1 tv 2 ect and that if it says anything about band like 800 or 900. I had the exact same problem on a brand new Insignia 26 " LCD with DVD. Comcast tech was able to fix it by changing the Comcast box diagnostics. Here is what he did. Using the Comcast remote with the TV on - press power, cable, menu in that order. A comcast diagnostic srceen will appear. Select Additional HDMI options, then audio options. Change the audio options to L-PCM. Press power again to exit the diagnostics. That will fix it and you get to use the HDMI cable.
