Software not installing, memory card not detecting
When i try to install the software on my computer it gives me an error message in french. i think this problem might be that i have vista and im not really sure if its supported? apparently the drivers wont install either. the second problem is that after i have formatted the memory card (1gb) and plug the phone to my computer, it doesn't even detect the memory card (again this could be cause i have windows vista?) i hope someone can help me out before i break my phone.

i see that your printer gives an Error when you insert the memory card.
Have you installed the printer drivers on your computer? if not try installing the driver of the printer and see if the memory card will be detected.
Hi, the error indicates that the USB Cable is loose in connection, please connect it firmly and try copying the Pictures. Also try installing the Software provided by Nikon which may have particular Driver for the Digital Camera. You can also Copy the pictures from your Digital Camera by removing the Memory Card and connecting to the Computer with the help of Memory Card Reader.
Normally, You would not need any software to read the memory card. Your windows system should automatically detect it.
The only possible reason why your memory card may not be read by your system is if you are logged in as a normal users and not the administartor. The system would first try to install the device driver for the memory card automatically when you insert it. If you are not an administrator, installation may fail. So I think you should log in as the administrator and then insert your memory card.
It's also possible that the memory card may be damaged; to test it, try using the memory card in someother computer.
1st what you need to do is to uninstall the software for the wireless card, after the uninstallation restart te computer, once the computer is restarted go aehad and plugg in the wireless card, once the card is plugged in a message will pop up that the computer has detected a hardware and click on the link it will give you steps by which you can go ahead and install the software for the wireless card in the computer, even after this the card is being detected but the software is not getting installed then probably you need to go aehad and download the software from the website and then install in the computer, the cd might have the corroupted drivers......
there could be either one of the 3 parts which is giving u this error
1) instalation cd ...(try installing from a different cd )
2) cd/dvd drive ( try with a different drive )
3) faulty memory card
mostly this issue is being created by faulty memory card if possible try that first
vista has this problem , see below webite Error message when you try to install a new hardware device on a Windows Vista-based computer: "Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device GET basis information http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940199/en-us
that is a memory dump, try to remember what hardware or software did you install or uninstalled recently, if you can log-in on windows try uninstalling or reinstalling the hardware or the software. if it fails, run the windows recovery on the cd and repair the windows installation.
OK I think your problem may be that you need to install/reinstall the drivers.
Does it show up in Device Manager? If so, Uninstall it, reboot and then reinstall the drivers when, if? XP detects it and asks for drivers.
Hopefully this will sort it. If not, then maybe ya card is faulty.
