Question about Xerox WorkCentre XD120F Laser Printer
We just got this printer/copier and it has to spots to load paper in the bottom but for some reason it will not load from those spots ... it will work if you manually feed the paper in from the side but it won't work if you just try to copy and it do it on its own.. any suggestions?
There are connectors that must be plugged in to the board to make them operate. Does the machine recognize that the trays are present? If it does see that the trays are there, I would suspect that with the age of the machine, both sets of feed rolls are either very dirty or in need of replacment. Most likely the rollers are just slipping on the paper when trying to feed. Clean them first with some soapy like cleaner, such as Fantastic, or just rubbing alcohol.
I really suspect bad or dirty rollers.
