Hi,
Go to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management..

Now, click on Disk management..

When the new window opens, look for the device there. If it appears there then, right click on the external drive and select "format"..

Once formatted, you should be able to "see" it..

Note: your data will be deleted if you format
Please rate my response!!! Thanks, SF

I have a malfunctioning usb on my laptop, how can i fix it. my mouse doesn't work

This is a reall pain, computer technology is bad in certain areas and a bad usb will render the pc useless, problem is the usb are soldered to the mother board and any extraneous movement whilst plugging in breaks these soldered connections, you can repair it if its not to serious but it will probably only break again--inherent design fault---Davey

Computer does not reconize mermory stick

Either the port on the computer is bad or the memory stick is bad.

If you are using a usb port to plug in the memory stick, try another usb port.

Try plugging the memory stick into another computer to see if it works or if it is bad.

Transfer pictures from kodak easy share c 743 to computer

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Why doesn't my computer reconize my speakers

You need to download and install the drivers for your audio, it's not that the speakers aren't recognized, it's the sound card, or on-board audio, whichever you have, that's not being recognized.

Equipment fails after hub is used

If you need additional USB ports, the best way to go is to get a USB card that fits into the computer. That way it comes with a CD software program and can be updated. They are now USB 2 configured and work great. I have had to remove a number of USB hubs to fix other computers that have had the same problem.
Hope this info is of some help. Bud

Stiletto 10 is not reconized by My Sirius Studio

Firmware version was too old to be reconized by new version of My Sirius Studio (MSS). Put Stiletto into recovery mode, pulled the latest driver from sirius, updated, which allowed MSS to see the unit.
