Question about Sharp R-1405 / R-140 Microwave Oven
Have you tried unplugging the unit for several minutes and then plugging it back in?
The oven's microprocessor receives the input commands from the front panel switches and it also drives the digital display.
Since the switches work and the oven works, the microprocessor appears to be functioning fine. I would say you have a defective display or a power supply issue that powers the display.
Unfortunately, you'll need to take it to be serviced.
Please let me know if I can be of further service to you.
Good luck!
