What is this website for if I'm only redirected back to my owner's manual?? Repairing a bobbin case is not in there.

  • jhanelno1 Feb 17, 2008

ok, i'm on page 16, where it talks about Upper threading. What I'm talking about is the actual bobbin case. Not the bobbin and thread. Thanks.

  • jhanelno1 Feb 17, 2008

Well, I was told that my Bobbin CASE may be misaligned, that's why my needle keeps jamming into it...

  • jhanelno1 Feb 17, 2008

haha, i'm really sorry! i am frustrated because i have the Owner's Manual. I need a repair book!

i understand this is frustrating. but the manuals are an essential part of this process. Any good technical advisor will NOT do an intervention, without a manual for mutual reference. This site is to provide access to information and specialists.

According to the manual, on page 16, it's not too hard to do this. Do you wish for some assistance or not?

Brother EX660. Lately, every time I fill and/or change the bobbin, I have problems with the tension. I've cleaned the machine several times - sometimes that helps, sometimes not.

What kind of problems are you having?

The newer plastic bobbins can be damaged and end up with little burrs that catch the thread briefly and cause problems. Also check your thread spool... is it catching the thread and going zing and winding the thread around the spindle? (tension problem right there.) I use a thread sock to prevent this on my industrial machines. But I have noticed that this sometimes happens on my domestic machines too.

Brother sewing machine jammed?

take bobbin out...look in case in machine and pull any loose threads...you have to sew very slowly so this does not happen...the books don't tell you that!!! Make sure bobbin itself is neatly wrapped and thread is out where it is supposed to be once inside case.

I have a singer confidence 7469 quilter, the upper thread keeps bunching up in the bobbin case. I've tried re threading numerous times with no luck.

make sure the bobbin is turned the correct way in the bobbin case
make sure the thread has not come off the thread take up lever
clean under the needle plate and in the bobbin area for lint

Janome 3000 bobbin thread will not catch. It just quit while I was sewing. I've cleaned the bobbin case and anything else I could but when I put the needle down the thread does not circle the b

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
make sure to use every thread guide
make sure the bobbin is not over wound
make sure the bobbin is turned the right way in the bobbin case
make sure the bobbin is not warped or damaged
if you've done all these things then it's also possible that the machine
is out of time & needs to be checked at a repair shop

Singer 7430 bobbin case clicking sound

it's possible that the bobbin case did not get inserted correctly
or it's also possible that the bobbin case needs to be replaced, I've had to replace the bobbin case on one machine.

The bobbin case keeps rotating and jamming up. I have to open the cover and move it back into position

Are you using the right size bobbins? It requires a SA 156, I use the metal ones that I buy on ebay, 20 for $8.99 and free shipping. Less trouble.
