Question about HP cp1700 Color Inkjet Printer
I'm a computer professional, but I can't figure out this problem (printers are not my forte) .
The printer used to produce beautiful, even printing.
Now, every document contains a few lines here and there (apparently randomly), in which the printed text is light grey at the bottom, but gradually darkens to black towards the top of the line of text. Sometimes the text is blue-tinged, or green-tinged, at the bottom, gradually darkening towards the top of the line of text to black.
However, sometimes the lightening and darkening in the text height is reversed for one or more lines of text--again randomly--there is no definite pattern as to where this "lightening and darkening” of a line of text from top to bottom will occur on the sheet of paper. This means that, sometimes, the text is black at the bottom, gradually lightening to gray--or to a green or blue tinge--towards the top of the line of text.
But, other lines of text on the same sheet of paper are still just fine, and beautiful.
What can I do to fix this?
P.S.: It just occurred to me: does this problem just require my using the HP Toolbox, and trying various "Printer Services," such as: "Align Printheads"; "Align Printheads"; or "Calibrate Color"? Or does this problem require some other adjustment(s)?
Thanks for your anticipated assistance!
First clean the cartridge and then go to toolbox and give test print.
