I have a HP laptop. It was updated to vista reccently and since then has not played any sound. It says it's on mute but I can't change this. How can i solve this problem?
Thank you for using Fixya Forums.
I just
want to verify the sound 'Mute' button is locked, is that a button on
your laptop or are you referring to the sound icon in the system tray?
Are you showing a 'Red X' on the sound icon in the system tray? I have
attached some information on updating drivers and some other
troubleshooting tips. Please let me know if you are still having any
problems or if issue has been corrected.
