Can I fax with my HP c4280 All In One printer

Not directly. The C4280 doesn't connect to a phone. You can scan a document on it, then fax it from the computer if the computer is connected to the phone system.

Hp 8500 A910 printer will not connect wirelessly to a desktop computer running windows xp

You may need to set up the e-print options. I would visit the HP website that explains how to do this to get all of the details. That website can be found here: http://h71036.www7.hp.com/hho/us/en/ep/articles/hp-eprint-mail-print-demo.html?jumpid=ex_r602_go/eprintbanner

You will need to make sure the printer is connected to the same wired or wireless network that the Windows XP machine is part of. You will also need to make sure that the Windows XP machine doesn't have a firewall or other similiar software that may be blocking the ability to communicate with the printer.

One thing that you can try to verify if connectivity between your XP machine and the Printer is vaild - is to open an IE page on your XP machine, and type in the IP address of the printer. This should take you to the printer administration page. If the page doesn't open - then it is likely that the XP machine and the Printer are not seeing each other properly to begin with.

My printer will not print from my computer. It shows the scan, photo ,copy screen and will do those things. It shows that it is connected to the computer and everything looks like it will print, it just...

Check that the printer cable is connected properly to your computer and printer.
If they are ok I need to know what printer you have as alot of HP printers are having formatter board problems that will cause this.
If the cables are ok and it is not a HP printer, or even if it is, you need to try re-installing the printer driver. Delete your old driver and install new driver.

try an updated driver for the printer (download it from the HP website). Its possible that the current software installed on your computer may be incompatible with your OS. Be sure to uninstall the current software before doing this. It could also be that you have a bad cable connected to your printer.

Printer is online and says ready but won't even attempt to print

Click on Start,
Go to Control Panel,
open Printer and Faxes
look for the Printer which is HP C5280 or any icon related to same,
Right click
Choose set as default
Close Everything
Shutdown your computer and Printer
Check and make sure that the USB cable is connected propely
Restart the Printer first and then the computer, try Printing some thing.

if this doesnt resolve you issue then i would suggest you to uninstall the printer software and reinstall and update it from HP.com.

Please let me know about the resolution

No, the printers automatically should know when a tray is added, if not then add it by going to File, Print, right click on your printer, go to properties Device settings and add it there.
