You can either temporarily hide the ads that keep popping up on your Yahoo Mail page or block them permanently. To know how, refer to the steps below.

To temporarily hide ads (for free email accounts):
1)Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account
2)When, while viewing your list of emails or a particular email, an ad pops up, you can see a right-facing arrow between your email and the advertisement. Click on this arrow.
3)The ad will get hidden temporarily.
(Important: This blocks the ads temporarily only and as soon as you perform the actions like refreshing the Yahoo Mail page, marking a particular email as spam, replying to an email, or just clicking on any of the sections in the navigation-menu located on the left of the page, a new ad may pop up again).

To permanently remove graphical and text ads:
Yahoo Mail has recently come up with "Yahoo Ad Free Mail" service to enable you to get rid of graphical and text ads on a permanent basis when viewing your Yahoo Mail account from a computer. You need to sign up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account before starting using this service.
(Note: Before signing up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account, please check if the service is available in your region. Also, even after subscribing to the service, the subscribers may still get the text ads that come up on Yahoo Mail on a mobile web browser and the text ads that come up in the "Basic Mail" interface of Yahoo Mail on a computer. Hi, One permanent solution for your problem is stop signing in to your email. Email addresses automatically cease to work after user stopped logging in for at least 60 days.

If you went to a new version of yahoo mail and that is the problem, then to go back to classic mail try lowering your screen resolution to 800 x 600. You may have to log out and then log back in after doing this for it to take affect.
This trick is just to get you back to yahoo classic mail.
It should bring up 2 options for you to choose from, either change back one time only or change back permanently......choose the permanent one.

Really wish this were a possibility, but unfortunately it's not. Yahoo made it clear that this was a permanent change.

However, there being so many issues with it, hopefully they'll be fixing the problems.

Keep in mind that this is in testing mode and things will go wrong until they work out the bugs.

Hi, with respect to disable of yahoo account, that does effect web browser but yahoo messenger dont work. you did not place the reasons for disable of your account. most of the times, it would happen when others trying to access your mail-id with multiple attempts of wrong password, under privacy and authorization concerns, they may disable up to 90 days but there may be chances of deleting of that account permanently. so try to contact SSA with your previous login details [date, time, ip address] along with your alternative emails address's and security q & a and have the best at an early.

To switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic (Old Yahoo), on you Yahoo Mail page click the Options link in the upper right corner between Help and Mobile, then click the Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic link.
