I have a similar issue with my 2001 Sunfire SLX. When I turn the ignition ON, it passes the self test but when i put it to drive I see the daytime light indicator for 1 or 2 secs then it goes on/off (oscillate) few time until it completely goes off and SERVICE light comes up! This doesn't happen if i turn the night lights on and put it to drive. But as soon as I turn the night lights OFF same problem observed. I dont know whats wrong with the daytime light. Can anyone please help.

I have the same problem and I'm going to check the relay first as that is what makes the clicking noise.

Same thing - the lights were working just fine until I brought my car into the shop for another problem. The mechanic called to let me know about the problem, but said they tried everything and couldn't fix it.

Had similiar problems with my 2001. Check the entire length of the headlamp wiring harness under the hood behind the grill. They are prone to corrosion from road debris etc. Peel off the tape and follow thw wires. I'll bet there will be a broken one. Pay particular attention to the pink one. Just clean up the broken one and fix it with a **** connector and you should be good to go. Hope this helps.

There is a wiring fault for sure and it is the harness, my experiences have taken me to the harness were it goes behind the washer fluid tank and up over the frame rail, the harness corrodes and the wires break there because they are under strain from body movement.

Invalid feature and 2 lights lit

Two lights lit is the normal situation - it means that the two voicemail ports are connected to the Norstar System and active. Press "Feature 9 (star) 1" to view the CallPilot Feature Codes. Then enter System Administration feature code to begin programming the system.
Good Luck!

Is there a workaround / driver for Win7 for this product?

Try installing the Driver in "XP SP2 Compatabiluty Mode" This may indeed work.
Download your XP driver you wish to install. If it's in a zip/rar file then extract it to your desktop.
You should have a simple .exe file sitting on your desktop to install the drivers, as normal for XP.
Right click the .exe file and select "Properties".
Then select the tab called "Compatibility"
Now check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Make sure "Windows XP Service Pack 2" is highlighted.
Now apply the settings and run the installer.

This should work for most drivers, but not all

Gauges intermittent operation. they turn off and on at will. i have cleaned and then replaced the ground wire. it helped some but did not permanently fix the problem.

It is normal for hard drives lights or gauges to work intermitently, in normal computers.
. It only work while it is fetching data to the Ram memory.
And it does that as needed.
It i sjust a waherhouse, that stores the data.

the computer does not work directly from it.
