You must beat songs before they can be unlocked. Play the career mode and beat some songs. Later on, these songs will become available. If they do not appear once the career mode is beaten, contact the company because some disks end up being badly burned and are missing songs. Regards
Unfortunately, Rock Band 2 came out before the Wii upgrade that allows the use of SDHC cards. Due to the architecture of the Wii which doesn't allow software patches to games, the Rock Band 2 game uses the old drivers that can only read non-SDHC cards.
Unless Harmonix releases a new DVD with the new drivers programmed in, we're out of luck on using SDHC cards with RB2.
I have no problem using my Rock Band 1 drums with RB2. Remember that it will only recognize the drums if they are used at the main startup screen. Also, make sure that if you have more than one Wiimote activated that they reset off (You can only have four items max active at any given time, including wiimotes, ie: Wiimote 1, Drums, Wireless Guitar, Wiimote 2 OR Guitar 2).
To accomplish the above, reset your wii, and don't start Rockband up until ALL the wiimotes' lights go out. Then only use one wiimote to navigate. Finally, when you play the game, use the drums to navigate through the menu screens. If you use the wiimote, it will set you up for vocals only.
We had the same problem, we even went and bought a whole new Rock Band. My husband turned our PS2 slimline on the side and it started working. I don't know why or how, I just know it worked for us. Give it a try and I hope it works for you also.
