Need manual or help for Fisher Price INTERACTV controller set-up

This was given to us in really good condition second hand, and we would like to give it to our 4 yr old for Xmas ...but neither of us are "technically inclined" and can't figure out how to program the controller to our TV....HELP please....Thanks :) We set the InteracTV up and used it a couple of years ago w/ our son but now our daughter is old enough to use it and we have a different DVD player than we did then. I downloaded the Quick Set up instructions but they weren't very helpful. They said to insert the "Set Up" card - we have a Programming Card and a Test card but nothing that just says "Set Up" like it shows in those instructions. Also, it says to place the InteracTV controller and DVD remote 3 inches apart and then follow the audio instructions from you InteracTV controller (and your DVD player is supposed to be off this whole time). Well, I don't see anywhere for sound to come out of the InteracTV controller so that doesn't make sense to me. Also, is there a DVD that is supposed to guide you in part of this? I really thought we kept everything together here but I don't see one that just says "set up". If there is a DVD for set up what does it look like - what is the picture on it? I truly appreciate any help or guidance here - I feel pretty lost.
Thank you,

I don't think the person who answered me previously read what I said my problem was. I already downloaded the Quick Set up instructions and said they weren't very helpful - all they gave me was a link to do that again.

If you read what I wrote in my original problem I am questioning everything in the Quick Set up instructions that I had already downloaded before coming to this website for help so another copy of that is not an answer for me.

Also, not that it matters, but the first 3 lines of my post were not written by me - that is part of someone else's and maybe they are not getting any help b/c theirs is being added into my post. Mine starts after their "Thanks". Just thought someone may need to know that.

I paid $9.99 to ask you all for help in clarifying what the Quick Set up instructions were saying - please help me with that - the last person I'm sure meant well but didn't give me anything that I didn't already have. In fact, that was my very question - I have that already, now, what does it MEAN???

Thank you so much for explaining!!!

Dear Madam, the guide provided by fisher price seems to be quite clear to me. You must have the set-up card to setup you interactv on a new device. It should be the one with set up card written on it. I do not know if on older models the programming card can be used to do setup, but I do not think so. Most likely your setup card is lost or missing. You should contact Fisher Price to get a replacement, here is toll free number for USA

For the rest you should follow the few easy steps illustrated.

    Best regards

I have a fisher price Interactv and no programming to dvd instructions for it, I need the instructions to program the interactv to dvd so my child can use it with her dvd. thank you in advance. I have a...

You will require the blue programming console card and the yellow console test card plus the original dvd which has dora, elmo and sponge bob.

A word of warning, we tried to get this system working on our daughters cheap "no name" dvd player and couldnt program it even manually. I contact Fisher Price who advised that it would generally only work on "mainstream branded" machines.

I have the instruction manual, which contains the codes to program to your dvd player if further help is required email me at The manual programming method is as follows

1. Remove Interactv DVD from the dvd player and using the dvd remote power it off
2. Insert the blue programming card into the interactv console and ensure the the green light blinks twice
3. Direct the console at the dvd player and slowly press the arrow button on the left hand side of the console until the dvd player powers up. BE PATIENT!! There are heaps of codes that the console runs through so this can take several minutes.
4. Once the dvd player has been powered up by the console, stop pressing the left button, insert the dvd into the player and it will go through the introduction and then bring up the screen which shows the programming card. The tv will then say, if you have already programmed and tested insert game card, otherwise insert the yellow test card and follow the instructions on the tv. Again, when you insert the test card the green lights will blink twice to indicate that it has been inserted correctly. If you have managed to get the console to get the right code for your dvd player, it should bring up the yellow test card screen automatically. If the test screen does not come up, the correct code hasnt been picked up by the console even though it turned on.
