i want to put Windows XP on my Acer Aspire 5720Z and it wont let me, i want to downgrade from vista, because it is, well, crap. and i want xp so is there a way i can use my copy of XP to downgrade.

- i tried this but it is because windows vista only lets you downgrade if you have buisness or ultimate, and im not paying to upgrade when i have already payed for an XP disk. so booting the disk doesnt workBest Solution

You need to start windows setup straight from cd. To do so you may need to change the boot sequence from bios.You will also need a bootable windows xp cd (not the upgrade version). Setup xp as new installation. Ensure you can get all necessary drivers and software for windows xp.
Hint: Vista works fine if it has enough ram memory, and you wont lose your valid licence and all software provided with vista.
