Question about JVC AV-27790 27" TV

1 Answer

Time display Hi, I just bought a used JVC AV-27790. I set the time and now it displays in the bottom right corner at all times! Do you know how I can turn it off. I've looked but can't figure it out. Or where I can view a manual? Thanks, Carrie

I need instructions for using my N1506 timer.

Plug in timer – The letter C will Flash

Press Time Button – It will advance to 1 a.m.
Continue pressing until right time to the nearest hour.
(NOTE: A dot at the bottom right corner of the display indicates P.M. hours).

Press Mode button – Letter P will flash inviting you to set the program
Press Time button repeatedly until required staring time appears in the window. (starting time is now displayed).
Press Mode button again – the letter E now flashes.
Press time button repeatedly until required ending time appears in the window. (Note: a dot at the bottom right corner of the display indicates P.M.hours).
Press Mode button and the display returns to the current time.

Programming is now complete. You may now plug in whatever needs to be turned on. The device will turn on and off automatically every day at the times you have just selected.

Press time button – Displays successively, for 1-2 seconds each: P, starting hour and E, ending hour. Then returns to show the current time..

Unplug the timer, which will discontinue the current program. After 10 seconds, plug it in again and proceed to set current time. Then continue with the programming steps as above.

Pressing the Mode button at any time will turn on the devices plugged into the timer. The display will indicate the letter O. The devices will remain on until the ending time of the daily program. To return the timer to the automatic mode prior to that hour, press the Mode button again. The display will return to show the current time.

The timer will return to displaying a flashing C and the devices plugged into it will be off.

Second try, unplugging the tv for at least 2 minutes then plug the tv back in. This should reset the tv if you have lost the original remote with the display bottton.

The digital clock on my 30"JVC is showing in the bottom of screen

The menu screen does not function the display. Without the original remote or a universal remote that does not have a display button, try unplugging the television for at least 2 minutes or more and plug the tv back in. This should reset the tv display. If the universal remote has a display button, depress the display button until you get the desired display results. Reference the user guide below for the display button.

JVC AV-27790 - single horizontal line

Since Intermitant always inspect the vert ckt for bad solder connections. If not replace the output IC they're cheap and most likely the problem If you still have lines on the top or bottom I would replace all of the electrolytic capacitors in the vert ckt also. Without much test equipment rebuilding the whole little ckt is the best way to go.
