Question about Epson Stylus CX4800 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Pictures Do Not Print Correct Size

Regardless of the size of picture, 640 X 480 up to 3072 X 2304, on a 4 x 6 paper, the picture comes out roughly 3 1/2 by 3 3/4. Epsons tech support was as much a help as my dog's was. Anybody have a solution for this ?
Thanks,
Dave

I use several programs, ArcSoft PhotoImpression 5, finePix Viewer (Fuji) and Microsoft Photo editor. Same result with all.

I disabled "enable advanced printing features" and set "print directly to printer" as per Epson's tech support.

Settings and paper size correct. Also noticed with certain pictures, it prints portrait regardless of setting (portrait or landscape) and 1/2 the picture is missing on right side. On the verge of shooting printer.

After re-installing everything and still getting the same result, I replaced the USB cable and now everything works ok. Thanks for the help in trying to correct this.

ok..all photo image types...let's see...looks around for dog as assistant..scratches his or her head..

sounds like a paper type/size issue, not the applications.

check the printer settings, during a photo print run, and make sure it's not scaling the image.

Hp officejet 7000 won't print 6.5 x 10 paper size

Officejet 8620 printed about 400 for me in 16 months then stopped. A few weeks prior to the error msg. that the paper in the tray did not match my document settings another message said it did not recognize any paper in tray including letter size despite there being about 100 sheets. I c alled HP two different days, tried documents on a brand new computer, created a new document. Took two hours total and $20 to be told the printer did not support this paper size. I called them prior to purchase and told them my needs and was told it would accommodate the size. My local techie and I both think the sensors have gone bad in under 2 years as I had been able to print my cards with no issue about 400 times. I called Epson three different times and each tech support person says Epsons can accommodate this.

WHERE DO YOU FIND METER FOR CANNON IMAGE RUNNER 5180

Hello jen,
Look on the operator control panel and you will see a little button below the power button. It says counter. Press it and look at the counter named "101". This counter represents the sheets of paper (regardless of size) that have successfully exited the device. The other counters you see, well, lets just say they are of no value. Now you could have a tech come out and "configure" the counters you see.My company sets the device to display "102"(counts 11x17 as 2 clicks), "109"(just black and white),"124"(color). Have a good day and please let "FIXYA" know I helped you. :-) SPINAL

Copied this from the specification on HP site.

It would appear not to take 5 x 7. It's the 7" is to small, 8.5 is the smallest.

Media sizes, std.
Letter, legal, executive, No. 10 envelopes, Monarch envelopes
Media sizes, custom
Tray 1, 2, 3: 3 x 5 to 8.5 x 14 in

My e-Studio 3500c copier has 4 paper drawers, and one is set as LD (supposedly), but when we try to print to that drawer, it changes the paper size to 8-1/2x11 instead of legal size. We had a tech come in...

Once u setup the drawer paper size, make sure u tick the update automatically on the printer driver properties. Otherwise the printer driver wouldn't detect the correct paper size.

Epson Stylus CX7400 won't feed/load any type/size of paper

You may have gear, roller problems. Try the head alignment process, if need be call Epson tech support. Epsons are really cheap if you need a printer. If you are going to buy a printer then Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month.

How to change paper size on axerox phaser 8500

From a Windows Operating System:
  1. From the computer, open the document to be printed within an application program.
  2. Click on [File] on the toolbar, and then click [Print]. The Print window will be displayed.
  3. Click on the [Properties] button, or the [Printing Preferences] button. The Properties or Printing Preferences window will be displayed.
  4. Click on the [Paper / Quality] tab.

NOTE: Most applications will automatically provide the page size information to the driver. If not, steps 8 - 10 describe how to create a custom page size.

  5. Select the required paper size from the Document Size pull down menu, if available.
  6. If the required custom paper size is not available click on the [My Customer Sizes…] button.
  7. To create a new custom paper size setting click on the [New] button.
  8. In the Name field enter the name to be given to the custom paper size. For example 127 mm x 394 mm (5 in. x 10 in.)
  9. In the Width field enter the width of the custom paper size.

NOTE: The width should always be the short edge of the paper. For example, if the custom size is 127 mm by 394 mm (5 inches by 10 inches), the width must be set to 127 mm (5 inches) regardless of the orientation of the document or the feed method on the printer.

  10. In the Height field enter the height of the custom paper size.

NOTE: The height should always be the long edge of the paper. For example, if the custom size is 127 mm by 394 mm (5 inches by 10 inches), the height must be set to 394 mm (10 inches) regardless of the orientation of the document or the feed method on the printer.

  11. Click on [Save]
  12. Click on [Close].
  13. Select the required paper size from the Document Size pull down menu.
  14. Click on [OK] twice to print
From a Mac OSx:
  1. Click on [File] on the application toolbar, and then click on [Page Setup]. The Page Setup window will be displayed.
  2. From the Printer Description pull-down menu, select the correct PPD file for your printer.
  3. Select the custom paper size for your document from the Paper Size pull-down menu.
  4. If the required custom paper size is not available click on the [Manage Custom Sizes…]. The Custom Page Sizes window will be displayed
  5. To create a new custom paper size setting click on the [+] button.
  6. Double click on [Untitled] and enter the name to be given to the custom paper size.
  7. At the Page Size field enter the width and height of the custom paper size.

Printing

hello,
probably the printer takes his own color-profiles installed by epson.
Click on propriaties of the printer and create your own color-profile for diferent sizes.
you can take the color-profile from a smaler size and save it choosing an other size.
So You also can improove your pictures by changing the color-profile after your needs...
but then you should use the same paper , because different papers give different colors.
you can also improove the colors by choosing-on the profile-another type of paper.

i hope i could help
