Question about Creative Labs Zen Touch MP3 Player

Firmware problems I tried to download the firmware update and it froze. Know my player has no firmware and update software says no player is detected. So I cant update to the new firmware or do anything else. But my computer recognizes that the player is plugged in. What can I do?

Make sure you have media player 11
If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
Download recovery tool off creative's website.
go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them

Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix
If that doesn't fix it try the USB cable

Hi I understand your problem..

Please try out this steps. If still have the same problem then try updating the firmware...

1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power/Menu button.
3. Press the Power/Menu button again to turn on the player.

Well it turns out my windows media player was causing my first set of problems, so now im using Realplayer and Yahoo! Jukebox to put my music in and it again, was working great and ive again tried putting...


This is not an issue with jukebox, wmp or something else. This is a software bug in the player's software. Keeps happening with mp3 players all the time. You can search for a firmware update for yuor player and update it with the latest firmware and the issue will be resolved(provided its not some kind of hardware issue).

u needn't have taken it to the shopkeeper...he probably did nothing in it.to upgrade the firmware,you need to download the firmware from here: http://support.sony-europe.com/dna/downloads/firmware/firmware.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&m=NWZ-B135&f=FRM_NWZ_B13x_f after downloading,run it and then connect the player to system while holding the "volume -" button...it should be detected and the firmware would be restored.

Make sure you downloaded the firmware from the official product page, if the firmware doesnt work try downloading an older version. Some firmwares have problems detecting updates.

Still, my guess is that you are not downloading from iriver site.

My creative zen vision M says FIRMWARE PROBLEM! HELP!


Hi you can try going to Creative's web site and downloading there Creative MP3 Player Recovery Tool software and what that does is update everything and most of the time it will fix what the problem . I would try that first.

My MuVo was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo V200 Firmware 1.13.03.

If you can't get your computer to even recognize the player anymore, you could try reinstalling the Creative Mass Storage Driver 1.07.00.250.

Power swtich off in transcend t.sonic 610 mp3 player


Install the firmware update that comes with the player. The solution is as simple as that. I had the same problem - the player was switchin off on its own. I installed the firmware update and it works like a charm. :)

Can't reinstall Firmware


It only sees the player if you are using Windows Media Player 10! Try a fresh computer. Get it to see the Zen Sleek by updating the driver. Load Media Player 10 (Not 11) and try the update firmware program again. Best of luck
