Question about Kenmore 43042 Front Load Washer
I have a Kenmore Front Load Washer model 417-44082400.
The tub moves freely by hand but will not run on it's own. I have used the diagnostic feature and get an E5E error code on the display. I have replaced both the motor control board and the main control board and according to the chart the motor ohms out correctly too. It still gives me the same error code and I am stumped. Ohmed the cables leading from the control board to the motor control board and they checked ok. You can hear a relay click when the tub is suppose to move but get nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.
I don't know what the E5E error code refers to but I can think of at least one possible reason for no motor action, even if motor itself is ok and board has been replaced. The relay itself could be faulty with no power from the output side, even if it clicks on. Less likely but still possible would be a faulty overload protector at the motor.
