LG Tromm Electric Dryer

Hey just a quick question, the coating on the drum of my LG Tromm Dryer is comming off, is that normal wear and tear after 6 or 7 months in use? I've never seen a dryer drum do that.

Thank you Master_Tech, I just wanted to make sure because the service tech that came to change the drum was trying to tell me that it was normal wear and tear. He was quite upset that he had to come and change and this just proves my point!! Once again Thank-you!!

I am experiencing the same problem with my LG tromm gas dryer after less than 1 yr of use. We dry a lot of baby clothes that have buttons on them but this has to be considered normal use. Anyway, we are having Sears come check it out since it is under warranty.

Where is the sensor located on a lg tromm elect dryer

The moisture sensor is located in front grill area inside the dryer. If you look inside the drum where the filter screen mesh is, you will find 2 curved metal bars. Those are your moisture sensors.
Hope this helps.

I have a LG Tromm DL62524W my dryer no longer is getting any heat , and on the settings it says its on the cooling setting and I tried to change the settings.

It's possible that the high limit switch has failed and needs to be replaced. You will need to tear down the machine to get to it.
Good luck

My dryer is squeaking loudly when I first put clothes in it, quiets down after 10 minutes or so. What do I need to do to fix it? Do I need a new belt of some kind. Can't find manual:(

The dryer needs to be dis-assembled and the drum removed.
Then remove and clean the drum support roller wheels and shafts.
Inspect the front drum glides for wear.
Also remove and clean the tension roller shaft wear the belt rides at the motor.
Inspect the drum felt seal for tear and wear.

Cracked drum lg tromm dle2512w dryer. is it worth replacing? dryer is about 3 yrs old

I'd say yes, especially if you replace it yourself to avoid a service call. Top needs to come off (screws at back, then push top back 2 inches and lift off), remove front, remove 4 screws holding front bulk head / front rollers, slip belt off tension pulley, remove drum, reverse to install.
