Question about Panasonic PANAFAX UF-6000 Fax
My phone and fax are using the same line. We have the fax set to #4; to pick up faxes unattended. The problem is that when a voice call comes in, we answer and about 3 - 5 minutes into the call, the fax machine starts. This causes the voice call to terminate. It doesn't happen with every voice call. What's going on?
What you want to turn on is DRD distinctive ring detect
function-7-4-start-3-6-start-2-then select you ring patern -start-stop

You may want to look and find out if the machine has a fax priority setting. That means that at anytime a fax is received it will terminate the call and answer the fax.
It is a " feature" as some call it. On some fax machines it can be turned on or off. On some, its just on all the time.
