I chatted with Motorola, as I had this problem. Here is their response: While on a call, press the center button(press the side only to the right) this will give you option to adjust the call volume of the phone...... So, the real answer is close. While on a call, you have to hold down the right outside edge, or ring, of the center key. While holding it down, turn up the volume button on the right side of your phone. It worked for me. Hope this helps!
when you call some one try pressing up the button on the left there are three buttons on the left and 1 on the right press the up button it will say on the screen ring style volume 7 or 6 or what ever you have set it up to but during the call when you press the same button it lowers or higher the volume of the speaker thats the easy way to do it
have the phone check fully the microphone needs to be replaced and the earpiece as well........the housing by the earpiece might be block so take a small flatbit screwdriver and have try to to clear it.
You might have severed a wire that's connected to the phone's speaker. You were very lucky to save your phone as much as you did.
I don't think there's anything you can do yourself, but you probably won't have to replace the whole thing, if you find a cheap place to service it. Just some minor work.
I find this one of the main problems with living with celular phones these days, you can't push people into a pool anymore.
If anyone comes up with a waterproof Cell phone, that person would be a milionaire ;]
