Question about ASUS RX3141 Router

1 Answer

Crashes periodically I have an ASUS RX3141 router that crashes fairly frequently. My internet connection disappears, and when I ping the router's IP, I get no response. I power the router down and back up, and when it reboots, it works fine until the next crash. The interval between crashes varies considerably, so it doesn't appear to be an overheating problem, and the router is in a spot where it's well ventilated.

The firmware update did solve the problem. I hadn't checked to see if one was available until you suggested it. Thanks!

Can use GRE protocol with ASUS RX3141? I want use VPN to access my network from home... Thanks in advance.

You need to enable vpn pass-thru on the Router; not all routers support this so you simply have to logg on to the device and try to find it - probably a couple of check-boxes on a tab somewhere?

You typically need to set up a router through a web browser (such as internet explorer). They are typically given IP address as default, so you could try attaching the computer to the router with a network cable then typing
